Default Airsoft AND DBC-is it possible?

Hey all. Ijust installed a DBC in my HL Pz.K. IV. It was originally a good shooter and Iwas hoping that the DBC would maintain this functionality, since it uses the K button to shoot the IR LED. I snipped the warning LED and put the IRLEDin it's place (in a short length of tube). The DBC/DBU works great, but the gun no longer shoots, even after Isoldered the LEDwires together to maintain the circuit. Oh, and Ialso made sure it was on . So did Ibreak something, or does the DBC kill the Airsoft gun? It doesn't much matter for this tank since I'm going to be getting an Asiatam recoil/elevation unit for it eventually, but Iwant to convert my Tiger to a DBC but maintain the Airsoft there. Thanks for the help guys!

The DBC should not interfere wiht your airsoft. I have a couple of tanks that do both

Remember to shot the airsoft, it is up on the left stick

Yeah, no dice. As far as Ican tell the circuit is complete, so I'll have to take it apart (AGAIN!) and see if Ican spot any broken solder joints. Thanks for the advice. So Ihave a KV-1 with HL IR battle that Iwant to upgrade to a DBC. Can Istill get it to flash and recoil?

The answer is yes. You can hook up a super bright LED and use the RX18 IR pins to fire it as you will now be using the DBC to fire the IR shot.

sgt.Pearce, DBU stands for David`s Battle Unit, a patented fighting circuit used for I.R. battling between tanks.DBC stands for David`s Battle Circuit, the
actual printed circuit assembly needed for battling.

Nice little circuit board that lets the HL and Tamiya's play together - at a reasonable price.

The DBC and DBU (Battle Circuit and Battle Unit) are a play on the Tamiya Battle Circuit (TBU or Apple)

DBC's were designed to be used with Heng Long 1/16 tanks. I suppose you could gut a vs tank, and try and fit all this stuff in, but it gets pretty cramped into a 1/16 scale tank. 1/16 scale and 1/24 scale are different animals. I suggest instead of trying to make a 1/24 vs tank perform like a 1/16 scale tank, you just buy a 1'/16 scale tank, or just be content with what a 1/24 scale tank is. They come with all kinds of accessories, and an IR battle system. Shenlonco has a real nice set up with them, but he isn't trying to turn them into something they are not.

As far as I know the vs tank system does not interact with Tamiya.
