Sure Zack!
Better hurry though. The Conversion kit is getting hard find!
They do offer the L 70 (A) also.
Also take a look at the SIG 33. That is one hot looking little beast!

Torpedochief: I am building one of these too....mine started with a Bandai kit. How did you solve the barrel movement problem? Does it move up/down and sideways? Any recoil? What did you use as the starting point model? Great paint job! PP

Thanks for the nice words my brothers!!
Paul and anyone building one of these great little SPs.
Please Please have some experience under your belt before you try this conversion. You will be cutting up a Panzer IV and dealing with a rather rare and expensive bit of resin.
Paul here is what I did.
Nick made me a great barrel from aluminum, to replace the solid core resin unit that came with the kit. I used the HENG LONG recoil unit for the STUG III.
I modified the recoil as directed by Bubbajoe, ad to that added a micro switch to control my high voltage flash, made from an old disposable camera.
A strip of thick brass was screwed to the end of the recoil and brass tubing slightly larger than the new barrel was soldered to the brass strip. To this the mantle was attached using a dab of hot glue.
I toyed with many designs for the elevation and ended up with the elevation unit for the STUG. There is no traverse as with the sloped sides the room was just not there.
IN all this was one of the most challenging builds I have attempted. I scratch built most of the details. I am waiting on the steel road wheels for the front.
As a side note: The Jagdpanzer IV was so nose heavy it wore the first two sets of road wheels out very soon, so they replaced that set of wheels with steel rimmed wheels.
I also need a set of hubs for the sprocket and idlers.
Thanks again all!!

Well now you sure helped by getting me the periscopes.
I still have to install the scissor unit. I have to rearrange some things to make room for a TC figure.
Thanks Brother!!!

Impressive to say the least, Don. Excellent looking vehicle, it's a shame the conversion isn't more readily available (or is it?)
Did you see spots before your eyes for two weeks after?
Mike.

I think the conversion kit is a bit expensive, but I guess as a limited run the price is going to be a bit high. Maybe with the popularity, they'll do a bigger run and bring the price down a little.
