Default Tamiya electronics question

Hey all, Ihave a Tamiya electronics question for the community at large. I recently bought a MF-01 Sherman from TheCommander (thanks man , and I'm interested in upgrading it's electronics. I did an Ebay search and found a few DMD MF and T units, and I'd like to know if they're compatible with each other. Specifically, I've found the Sherman MF-02multifunction unit and the Persing T-06 control unit. Ialso saw a T-08 control unit that wasn't specified as to which tank it belonged to. Will these items plug-and-play with each other? Or do Ineed to get the Sherman T-05 control unit, or the MF unit that goes with the Persing (whatever that is)? Thanks guys,

Andrew

You can mix the Perhsing and Sherman electronics. I have the same set up in my Mato Israeli M-1. It is a benefit if you want a working recoil in the Sherman.

Thanks man, appreciate the help!  Just went online to get the mixed bag of electronics and realized that I can get both the MF and T-control units for the Persing, so that's what I did.  Don't know that I'll need the elevation capability, but just in case...

Not elevation, but recoil. It would have to be added as the Sherman doesn't come with it...nice mod though and worth while.
Glad to help and keep us posted on the build!

Yes, recoil. That gun-inny-outy thing, yeah, that . I'll keep folks posted, though there's a couple projects in the pipeline first...so tell me, what recoil unit do you use? I have the Nick Aguilar mantlet and gun and the gun shield that goes with it by Ethan Dunsford, so Ihave quite a bit of work to do on this beastie before it's done. Know of any good tutorials on building/integrating the recoil mod?

Wel, for my sherman, I used nick's barrel and muzzle brake, but kept the standard mato mantlet on the tank..jst worked it a bit.
I used Pershing recoil unit and elevation unit. It works great.

Thanks for all the help guys! Looking forward to putting this all together soon. As soon as Ifinish my Pz IV HL. I'm at the Paint Chipping stage, soon to be followed by an oil wash and then filters (Ithink). After that I'm tired of this darn thing, and am starting something else! Either my Mato/Trumpeter T-34/76 project, or the 75mm(W) Sherman, which will someday become a TaMato. I'll keep ya posted! Oh, Bob, got any HL flash units for sale? Ineed two...

Ah, welcome to our humble little club! I am sure that the PIV will be a nice tank. Show some pictures when you have time! We are picture junkies here, if ya didn't know.
And definitely look at the links that Ethan posted. They are a great source for modifications over there!
