Anything wrong with this website? Why does my anti-virus software keep warning me that it is downloading something harmful?

What AV are you running, and at what level? The site is fine, it may be trying to install a cookie for the password. Also what browser and OS are you running? And why did you post this in the TANK section and somewhere else?

I don't get any warnings off this site either, are you sure its an antiviral warnbing, and not a pop-up or that kind of warning? It MAY be tweaking to the " You have a PM " pop-up... Have you tried checking your " Inbox " to see if you have recent PM's?
And sometimes, certain malware can cause false error warnings to get you to buy a garbage piece of software. Suggest you get some of the good freeware scanners:
- [link=http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html]Spybot S&D[/link];
- [link=http://download.cnet.com/Ad-Aware-Free-Internet-Security/3000-8022_4-10045910.html]Ad-Aware Free[/link];
- or limited-use [link=http://download.cnet.com/Hitman-Pro-3/3000-2239_4-10895604.html]Hitman Pro 3.5[/link] (but VERY good!)
Also it'd be useful to download [link=http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=E1605E70-9649-4A87-8532-33D813687A7F]Microsoft Security Essentials[/link], [link=http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=435BFCE7-DA2B-4A6A-AFA4-F7F14E605A0D]Windows Defender[/link] (both available at the [link=http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx]Microsoft Download Center[/link]) or even use the soon to be defunct run-from-online [link=http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm]Windows Live OneCare safety scanner [/link]
Then again, thats assuming you're using Windows... Note: the Microsoft/Windows proggies have various versions... x32, x64, XP, Vista and 7, so be sure ya get the right one for your OS, eh?
I've been having a few web page issues, but I've been delaying a reboot after an update, so that could be it. No troubles here though...
PS: no offence if this is all is over-covered, am an ex-tech trying to cover all the bases, so to speak... And no, I'm not the kinda tech that says " Erase all your cookies FIRST, then lets see if that helped "(which it RARELY does, and costs you a lot if you have security cookies for banking/billing sites, etc. damned Rogers outsourced techs... frakkin' morons...
Chase 'em 'til they blow, then shoot 'em in the *rse... (nuke-free zone!)

That happened to me too..........for a couple of days...... then it stopped. Also, my RCU tank forum page froze at 3-1-11 and didn't update any message postings until yesterday. Then it started working......??????

I too was getting AVG warnings of a Trojan detected and did I want it sent to the vault. Started several days ago, disappeared for a day or so, and periodically reappears. It was around the time when the thread about starting a new RC tank site from some other RC site was going back and forth. Seems to be less frequent now that thread has been pulled. Was it related?

Never detected any viruses, but it kept crashing Firefox when trying to visit this site.
So, I actually had to stop it in the middle of loading, and then block anything from "gds.or.kr" to keep it from happening.

This happened to me too. Iactually removed my browser and reinstalled it to get rid of the warnings. Then I stayed away for a couple of days and now... voila gone. I thought there might be something fishy about that alternate site post...

I periodically get warnings from Kaspersky AV on various sites - for the most part it blocks the problem and loads the rest of the page.
I'm not convinced that there is a harmful file being uploaded, more likely its a badly coded flash advert that fits a pattern.
I have seen other legit websites who have had their software downloads blacklisted by Norton and others, based on one or 2 reports from disgruntled users, or plain malicious ****'s causing trouble....
- another possibility here...?

I was getting warnings but they have all stopped now, and they did start showing up at about the time of the "in the sun thread."
