I just did exactly this same thingusing an old HiTec servo to control the 3Racing scale winch on my CC-01 Wrangler. I can now spool the winch out and in using channel 3 of my Spektrum controller. Great pics and explanation of the process!

this mod of a servo board has tons of uses . I have made radar towers gun placements that rotate on command radio controled buldozer all using modified servo speed controls

I removed the pc board from one and run a all metal turret system with it .

Wonderful. This is the kind of stuff that we need sticky's for, My bookmark list is so gosh darn long lol. A sticky with, all the mods, tips, weathering, gearbox mods and such all in one place.

It is a 20 turn 5K pot that you can get from any electronics supply house or on evil bay there are made in tiawan and china so they are cheep 1.25 each

I'm dumb. I can't find it on ebay. Gonna check radio shack tomorrow.
