Mergen...

It probably got deleted as there is a proper sales forum here. See the link up top: [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_458/tt.htm]Tank Classified Ads[/link]

Clearly you have his e-mail stored... how did you pay him? If you have ANY way to salvage/track the money (PayPal/credit card/cheque) submit a cancellation ASAP. If you sent cash/money order, file for mail fraud... as you must have sent it to an address, right?

As one who's been 'taken' by a member here to the tune of 100 euro, I know what its like.

And as a concerned member here, you care to post his user here? I'd like to see how long he's been a member, etc...

I used Pay-Pal, I've got his E-mail and his phone and address. He told me he would ship on monday and as of yet no como with him. It might be he is hung up doing something, but I just have a bad feeling about him.

Well, it is a good idea to check a members number of posts and maybe ask some of the guys if they have dealt with him before. Of course, hindsight is 20/20. Me? I prefer to buy from vendors to save this headache whenever possible Phil at rctankwars, Bob at ETO armor, Steve at Welsh Dragon...these are all trustworthy guys that will never steer you wrong.

Mergen...

You ~might~ want to contact PayPal and ~initiate~ the proceedings now.

WHY? Because PayPal should lock his PayPal account, and prevent him from dumping your payment from the account (or even using it to buy something else) If you wait ~too~ long (as I did) he has time to transfer funds out of the account (or just buy something else) and leave the account empty, and if he cancels credit-card/bank access too, PayPal has NO way to retrieve your money. That was how the guy in the UK burned me... I gave him too much time to 'dump' the account.

You can always cancel the inquiry when the seller's shipped the item, and you've received it, to your satisfaction. Once he's dumped the account, you're up the creek.

Hey... No sweat, Mergen.

I may not be able to get my 100 euro back, but I can help prevent others from being ripped off in a similar fashion.

And if the guy ~is~ on the up and up, he should understand why you got worried. If not, heck, thats his problem, safer to keep your $.

BTW: The user wasn't from the UK, by any chance? I know I have the buggers name locale buried somewhere...

and PLEASE: if he WAS gonna cut-&-run, let us know the blighter's ID/name/etc, eh?

I got his shipping notice this morning, he was a little cold but when you tell me you are going to ship on a certain day, well ship that day. He's in OK USA. The one I cant understand is RCCommad, his site is still up and taking money from the new commers to this hobby. I dont know why they dont shut him down. Ok thanks again.

Again, ask before buying. There must be 20 posts about RC Command and warnings throughout them all. His site is up, but from my knpowledge the ability to use the shopping cart is no longer functional. He is out for quite some time now. Rctankwars is where you would want to buy from. He will stand behind anything he sells and you can be sure you will get what you order from him. Hope this helps.

To be clear, I wasn't defending rcc. I just know that the shopping cart feature where you actually send payment was disabled quite a while back. If you somehow seent money, I don't know why it went through. In any case, it is a sad story of a vendor who went under. However, as stated, there are others who are trustworthy...use them in the future.
