Iam looking into purchasing a T-55 from Hooben and was wanting to use El-Mod.
My question is:
Iwas looking at thisradio: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/s...idproduct=8992
What else will i need to purchase to be able to use with the El-Mod ECOand ThinkBlaster IV set up?
Forgive my lack of knowledge, i am still very new to this sort of thing.
Any help is appreciated.

I have this radio, and its not easy to get it working. If you go to the bottom of that page where you see the radio, there is a manual you can down load. and if you have any problems PM Bubbajo, he has one too and knows the radio very good, other than that it works fine.

I would also mention that my El-Mod requires 6 channels to run it. Servos, lights, or other relays controlled by the rx would require more channels, and you really step off into the deep end ($$) when you buy a tx with more than 6 channels. Kind of like really fast cars....fun, but expensive.

Im actually in the midst of looking for the best option for a radio/receiver pair which im gonna use for el-mod.
im thinking of getting the dx5e/ar600 set. Id like to get the dx6i radio for the six channels but its kinda pricy. However, it seems like most people choose the dx6i and stand by it.
If the turnigy one is any good perhaps Ill consider it. I have read nothing but horrid reviews about it from hobby king though so at this point im gonna stay away...

Its a tough one to get it working but once you figure it out its not bad. It took me about two weeks to get it working. there is no instruction when you get it I had to watch the vido and talk to Bubbajoex to get it going, Ive been using it now for some time now, no problems. .
