hi guys. i'm starting to get things together that i will need to build the sherman i won at danville. i bought some up-graded parts from daryl while i was there. he also told me that i should put bearings in the wheels, instead of the bushings. he told me that i need 24 of them and that they where 5x8. i was wondering if someone could post a link to the bearings that i need? i looked on boca bearing and they have so many, i just don't know what would be the right ones. i see they come in different thickness to, so i'm just not sure. if you could please post a link to the right ones, that would be great. thanks

Here are some that I've ordered, much less than Boca's prices even with shipping.
Sorry forgot the link: http://mitosal.com/Bearings.html

Honestly, you can buy the sherman bearings on Ebay, or go through Mitosal, which is Impact's site.
If yoiu know the size, bearings can be bought seperatley through boca as you said, but I would go the other route as they are correct for the tank and you don't have to worry about the fit.

Look at AVID bearings too. I've ordered a lot from them before and they have really good prices and fast shipping.
They stock those 'Revolutions' bearings which are one side sealed with rubber (for the outside to keep out the dirt) and the inside metal sealed. Sez that way you have the protection but with less resistance of both sides being rubber. They have standard and flanged bearings too. And most of the prices for the bearings us 'tankers' use are usually a buck apiece. AND if you order over $50 of bearings (I usually order 51) you get free shipping.

They are 5X8 non-flanged bearings and they install in the suspension arms, not the wheels. Pack some plastic safe grease (or the ceramic grease that comes with the kit) around the axle inside the arms. Clean and dry off the bearings to ensure there are no harmful products that will affect the plastic wheels, then grease them. Then install the wheels.
Very easy.

Try these guys. They have every bearing you could ever need and the prices are good for quality bearings. The bearings on ebay are usually from some unknown manufacturer. I only use quality bearings,<div>http://www.vxb.com/ballbearings.html...FcY65QodaHvI-w</div>
