Russian Tank Shots
Modern Russian armour doesnt feature very heavily around here so here are some shots taken from their victory parade this year at Moscow.

Very impressive, especially the SP guns. If one was not aware of the reputation and flaws in the Russian equipment, it might be scarry. An idea what the SP with the long gun is...(left side shot #352)?

There were some very mighty looking ones in the parade.

This weapon is not Russian, but Soviet. The Soviet Union was killed by the Soviet intelligentsia and the Communist Party apparatus.

That must be it....a very much improved version of the Egyptian T-100....looks impressive, but as already said...not a low profile and a good target. I thought the T-100 had a long gun tube, but this is longer. Gun looks like a 100mm....or? How about that Black cat or Hal./

What I find most remarkable is the lack of crowds lining the parade route compared to the images we grew up with back during the Cold War. Granted, it ain't the May Day parade but still...
The tanks aren't bad but I find this equipment even more impressive!

Some don't, and some not very often.
For those of you who don't know Russian women, the vast majority of Russian women will try to look their best no matter where they go. There is no such thing here as 'dress down Friday' or 'grunge day'. Rich or poor, young or old, almost none would dream of popping up to the grocery store without combing their hair, putting on a little makeup, and dressing well, meaning clean clothes in good condition, even if it's jeans and a tank top in spring. And the best way to describe Russian women is the description I give to friends in USA: perfume and silk wrapped around spring steel.
Am I right, Eugene and Hal?

Yes, Evgenyi, I do know better! If Ye'lean'chka and I were any happier, FSB, GRU, SBU, Milicia, GAI/DAI, OVIR, ZAGS, Alpha, the Orthodox Church, and probably Border Control would arrest us and put us in Yellow House. Of course, there are many good American women, but people like Old Master Sergeant grabbed them and married them while I was still to busy to think of marriage.

I would of loved to been there to watch all of that armour roll down the street, Nothing like smelling of the diesel fumes and feeling the ground shake
Also the russian military women look smoking hot marching, better than seeing the women here going into the supermarket in their pajamas or sweats

Those are the world famous crack troops. The pull police call by snapping to attention.
Sevoblast not only Russian women.....having lived in Europe 18 years, I notice most European women do the same and generally, American women are the butt of many jokes and snickers by the way they look going out. At times, it was embarrassing hearing remarks and having no argument.
