Mines
Tamiya sells a startard mine pack containing 6 magnets and a mine detection unit to put into the tank to take damage. It would be cool to make a sherman crab with opposite polarity to capture them. Is anyone willing to try to make a removable attachment???

RE: Mines

Got a link for this new invention? Not like one of the regulars to miss this tidbit.
WHOOPS... Its for the 1/35 tanks, NOT 1/16's. See the unit [link=http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=54255]~here~[/link]

RE: Mines
Tanker:
Its not only the range of the magnets and sensor, but the main tank controller that needs to have the functionality. If the unit was usable by the 1/16 DMD/MF units, they would have said so.
I honestly don't think the older DMD/MF units had that ability programmed into them, and don't have any 'home-upgrade' option either. So short of Tamiya offering a 'mail-in' offer for upgrades (not bloody likely) or making us buy new units, I doubt it'll fly.
Shame though... would have been a rather good forethought.
Then again, they've had the tech to make a 1/16 CCKW 353 (aka Deuce & 1/2) for over 5 years, and have we seen a kit yet? NOPE. So the only 'RedBallers' we'll see are home-mades!
