RE: CAN-AM Battleday July 16th
Speaking of Tombstones,
I think Hulu's T55 needs a Canadian Leopard C1 to tangle with and I am very close to buying one.
BTW, I weed whacked the field this morning. The grass killer I sprayed last week did the trick. New roads!
The temperature is going to be an issue, so I am going to go buy an event tent to give us some shade.

Aha yea really... So Capt. Action came by about 10 minutes ago and checked up on the Bulldog. We tested three different transmitters and atleast 3 different crystals... it has to be the board thats shot. So Tim if you wouldnt mind I'd gladly buy a spare one off of you on Saturday...

The BBQ is up and running, which is surprising considering it's been sitting in my garage for three years. I've picked up some propane canisters so if you want use it, bring some meat!
My wife was able to get an event tent they use for work for me, so with the one Tim has we should have plenty of shade. I'm also bring some buildings, trees and hedgehogs, plus some large rocks I've ripped out the garden. Just have to charge the batteries and get some sleep. Me and Airbrusher will be hitting the road at 5:30 am Saturday mourning from Windsor. Going to need lots of coffee.

Well i almost had to hitch a ride with Hulu, which would have been interesting (first meet and all) but my dad's home and my friend and I are gonna hit the road just after 10.. we gotta stop at Burlington to drop a few things off then continue the trek to the Tanklands....

Wow, I am very excited at the turn out. I think we are going to need a bigger battlefield LOL.
I am going to pick up some hotdogs today.
Thanks for bringing the tent.
If you have the time, drop by Lake St Armoury in St. Catharines to see the Stewart

RE: CAN-AM Battleday July 16th
Guys:
Just in case I change my mind at the last minute... does anyone have a spare TaBU? I have one on the way, but it won't be here in time for Saturday. I can even offer the owner a 'security deposit' if it helps.
I also have a tarp I used to use for shade when I raced electric buggies, about 9' x12', with a few salvaged tent poles, guy-line & tent pegs.
Lemme know, I'll see how I feel come Friday evening - I may even have both my Leo and my Sherman ready to roll...

RE: CAN-AM Battleday July 16th
Guys:
Looks like it'd be a better decision for me to wait until NEXT meet on the 13th of August. I should be able to get both the Leo and Sherman rolling, and mebbe a bit more too. I'll also bring a few of my 1/16 JGSDF buggies along (Kyosho used the Half-8 buggy chassis)
If I'm ~really~ lucky, mebbe I'll have the 8x8 chassis rolling by then too... though the body may still be the original 'Rosenbauer Panther' firetruck. Dun think I'll have time to craft a retriever for then.
Good luck to all, and take lotsa pics, hokay?
Patrick / WhiteWolf
Glen: thanks for the reminder: get more batteries (got 3 DuraTrax AC/DC chargers, only one tank pack! DOH!) but TaBU is on its way!

Awesome job guys - I must add you to my list of RC tank places to visit, maybe meet the DTC crew there too?
(Ed, Mike - its only a 4 hour drive from the bridge..? Tom's already on that side of the river as well - can we make this happen?)

RE: CAN-AM Battleday July 16th
Me and Airbrusher just got back home, and want to thank the guys from CAN-AM for an AWSOME time!
Hopefully we can get back in August. I will download some pictures after some sleep, it's been a looong, fun day.
I would like to give a speical thanks to Fireman Tim for installing the the SLU in the Tiger.
After a few track malfunctions, she was running great!
P.S. That "Pantiger" is one sexy beast!
