We may have a few new observers showing up for July, do we have any tanks to lone for some battles ?
I will bring a none IR Purshing for people to try but I only have two IR tanks and I usually end up killing them...in a fun way...

Sounds like a good idea for the roads.
The site is looking very good, now, I think everyone that comes out on July 16th will enjoy it.

We're about two weeks away from this event.
I think I can speak for the group in saying that anyone that hasn't attended one of these gatherings, that would like to come out and see what goes on at them is most welcome.
This is not an exclusive club.
While we hold IR tank battles, please feel free to come out and bring whatever RC tank you have, we also operate tanks there for entertainment, the only thing we can't do there is shoot airsoft (I still bring my airsoft tanks out, without ammunition, to drive between IR battles). The grounds provide an interesting obstacle course for driving.
It doesn't matter if you have a Tamiya or HL, a custom finished model, "stock" RC tank, or don't have a tank but want to see what its all about, please come out!
This is a good place to learn, exchange ideas and have fun; and I find there's quite a few laughs at these meets.
I would encourage anyone that can make it to come out and see what its all about

I think you might find the set up there provides some interesting driving with the roads, the "creek" (likely dry) with the bridges, etc.
We'd be happy to see you there

I think you'd find the layout interesting.
Things are pretty laid back, there's time to "play" between the IR battles, I always bring some non-IR tanks to drive around.

you using regular HL stock batteries in the tanks you use or did you guys upgrade to something else oh and chargers to?

I have 8 of them and get 40 minutes out of them each so I get 5 hours of running out of them, so they more than last the day for me.
I use this charger; http://www.all-battery.com/TenergySm...cks-01005.aspx
It will charge a HL battery in about an hour, so I just charge them all up the day before, usually at my office, at work.
I bring the charger to the tank meets, it can be plugged in there.
I carry all this stuff, along with other essentials in a plastic tackle box.

Guys:
Are you doing anything for the Oshawa date on the 25th? Its much closer for me, and that extra week might give me time to get a TaBU for my beasties. Think I could have my Sherman and the Leo 2A5 ready to roll for then...
Then again, depends on how my dad is: Seems they are gonna clobber the appendicitis with antibiotics again, and put him on the list for day-surgery in about 2-3 weeks. Idjit may take the week off, he may now, but if I'm free and the Oshawa date is a go, I may be able to slip down.
The Stevensville location is more of an overnighter, if someone has a cough I could borrow. Heck, I can always borrow my dads air-mattress (proper one, not those pool-toys) and rack on the floor in a garage. Might even be able to shanghai Idjits tent...
Lemme know, eh?
Wanna let the guys know I'm not some net-ghost... ;-)

PS: MapQuest says 6h 17m to Stevensville, 585 kms; 4h 13m to Oshawa Airport (392 kms)

I don't really have much in the way of accomodations, perhaps someone else here has some ideas?

AH...
Again not checking the post date and the ~full~ date hit me. If it came down to it, I could snag my nephews tent, and crash outside too. Dunno if I can make the 16th, but Idjit has the following week/end off (22nd-25th) so if you're doing anything the following weekend, thats good too.
Could ya post a tenative schedule for the following weekends (Whoops, there they are on your web-site) I may be able to get twerp to co-ordinate with me instead of vice-versa, and get time ~I~ want off instead of the days he's deciding to take off.
Gonna have to buy myself a TaBU though... two capable units, but no TaBU, ~bad~ woofie~
