Default Looking for 1/16 Leopard Lower Hull Chassis

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone out there has a source for a 1/16 Leopard, not snow leopard but the A1,2,4 etc Leopard either German OR Canadian. I need the Lower Half of the chassis LESS All the Electronics BUT I do need it to be able to be running with my electronics, so motors, suspension, tracks, wheels sprockets, idlers etc are wanted. I don`t need it to be of the Upgraded verion BUT would have come out of the box from the factory that someone went full out and upgraded and left these parts aside.

Please let me know if you can help me with this BUT I know going through Tamiya is VERY Costly. I am just hoping someone out there in this LARGE club might know of something. I am a beginner scratch builder and this would help me with possibly going ahead OR the plan dies with the plastic model.

Any links OR contact information would be Greatly Appreciated.

Thanks In advance for your Help.

George

The Tamiya lower will not will not work with the standard stuff. It is all very model specific. what you need is a hobby engine lowr hull and you arent going to find one of those unless someone has one for parts.

IF you are indeed looking for the Tamiya leopard lower hull, here is a link to Jason's store.
http://cgi.ebay.com/14005003-Tamiya-...item5199739ac0

Check his other items for anything else you may need to purchase. If he doesn't have it, then try www.aaftankmuseum.com
Karen and natasha can get anything you need for the Tamiya tanks. Hope this helps.

George:

You need a ~complete~ lower hull, basically, right? What the buggy & truck guys would call a " roller ". To be honest, the cheapest idea would be buying the static Leo 1A4, and a pair of gearboxes, then selling off all of the upper parts.

For good prices (FORGET Borgfeldt Toys!) you should ask Karen @ [email protected], or with Dave4What via his eBay store or his website [link=http://www.rareplastic.com]RarePlastic.com[/link] Lowest eBay price for a Leo 1A4 kit I see is $333 & $61 shipping out of HK, cheapest US is 500+ & shipping.

That said, did you want the NEW DMD gearboxes, or the old 540 clutched units? If you want the clutchers, let me know... be easier for me to upgrade mine with the new hull pre-punched for DMD's. I might even be able to help with unloading the hull/turret parts.

PS: The one Dave has up on eBay, the 4601... its got a PLASTIC hull, suspension arms, and tracks. Completely unsuitable for a decent RC chassis.

Is it a Tamiya lower he needs or can an HE do the job? If he wants to use pretty much standard drive gear in it, like we do in the HE tanks why spend the money on a Tamiya lower with all the expensive running gear. Some body must have a parted out HE LEO lower hull he can use.
