Your Howe truss is very nicely done.  I especially like the cable tension system you used.   It is nice to see a properly engineered scale bridge.<div>

That last one is a piece of art. I ~think~ I'll aim for the one from the BattleFront e-magazine first, and if that comes out ok, then perhaps try for a truss-type.

Anyone thought of making & rigging a bridge that can 'collapse' in the middle, perhaps with one of the IR target receptors? It could be a strategic objective: defend the bridge... like Bridge at Remabgen (though the Germans dinna have any tanks) I'd suggest one safety issue though... that when the target device takes the required number of hits, it won't collapse IF there is a tank on the bridge. It would trigger flash-units to basically say " Evacuate, I'm gonna fall! " Alternately, if not rigged for falling, link the 'destruct' option to a surplus HL smoker or three (or summat)

It wouldn't have to be a FAST drop, like ~BLAM/Fall~, mebbe it could initiate a winch-tension system, that slowly lets the cable out and the bridge sags in the middle.

Thoughts? I know people mentioned what I'd term 'active' scenery, with smoke and such... could this be done with what we have available?

I think JC fom Canada and his club rigged up a bridge with a timer, when it timed out the bridge collapsed/broke apart. I don't have any details about it just remember him mentioning it, this goes back many years. They ran their events inside and had some elaborate setups, I can't seem to find the link...
