This one is 1/16 scale...
I like the four wheel steering.

Yeah, but look at the price.
You should look on YouTube for them in the mud bogs. Pretty cool action!

LOL! With me, it's open one eye at a time....OK, good so far. Now, let's see which leg doesn't want to work well this morning....or should I wait until 06 to try this?
Another installment on the WW 2 story? That's being written as time allows now. And rumor has it that USA won that one, regardless of what is on the streets roaming around.

RE: Tank ID challenge!
Ah...
Now this is my dream RC... for quite a few years now: the [link=http://www.sonderfahrzeug-modellbau.com/_home/_deu/0000009c9c0a63615/0000009ca30d8923a/index.html]SLT 50-2 Elefant[/link] by Peter Müller @ www.sonderfahrzeug-modellbau.com . Sadly, it runs a whopping €2,370 as a kit... and almost another €900 more built/painted.
[link=http://www.sonderfahrzeug-modellbau.com/_home/_deu/0000009c9c0a63615/index.html](Link to 1/16 stuff)[/link]
Then again, the M113 'Waran' chassis looks interesting... if the mega-piece traks ain't a pain to keep assembled (like the old Tamiya's were)

I keep going back to this one. It floats! The 6 wheel drive and 4 wheel steering sounds fun, and boy does it look cool. At 1299 Euro, I don't have that money symbol on my keyboard, it is half the price of your dream. And it floats!

That's it !!!!
I really like the looks of that vehicle. I have been thinking of scratchbuilding it for a few months. It kinda looks like a sportscar version of the White scout car, to me anyway. Scratchbuilding it interests me, but I don't like to do interior detail. I would cover mine with a canvas cover. Those cross country tires are the other fly in the soup.

OK............it's time to get rough...........This is a model posted on anothr hobby site, but it really existed in real life. I hope the gentleman who built it won't mind my borrowing it for this thread. I found a photo of the real one, but it is a really poor photo.

I've never heard that tread pattern called cross country. I always heard them called 10 ply, non directional, combat tread.
The ones on the S1 photo are directional cross country tread (to me). If I am misinformed about this, I would like to be corrected.
I hope this isn't my first mistake this year!

VERY GOOD! Only one of those was ever made, perhaps the worlds most rare tank. It never even made it through field trials.

Here is an easy one. It should be parked next to the Swiss tank at the start of this thread. How manyodd color tanks are out there? I found a blaze orange Leo before this. The picture hurt my eyes so I won't post it, but it is out there...
Whatcountry did this to a tank?

If that is a Leopard, then it is appropriate to be painted like a Leopard.
I just hope nobody ever builds a tank named the "Beaver".

It's not bad as camo, disruptive and natural colors. I bet they could hide that tank without much trouble.

Ian.........Wow!......I am truly impressed with your knowledge of AFVs on this thread. I salute you!
However, you only got the first part of that two part question correct. What is the name of the soldier standing by the tank?
For extra points..............What's his rank and Unit?
