RE: CAN-AM Battleday Nov 5/11
A few things before this Saturday's Battle-day:
1) There is no more parking on the grass this year. The tires will leave deep ruts in the soil, so please park on the pavement.
2) Please bring next years membership dues of $20. Our club has grown considerably since the first meet and I would like to present the community center with everyone's 2012 membership fees ASAP to keep them happy. It also helps me negotiate for more space, etc.
See you on Saturday.

Glen,
I'll be at the field with my father at 1pm on Friday to mow the field and do some digging.

Sounds good, Tim.
Don't tell them thisbut IMHO, $20.00/year is a real bargin when what we have there is consdered, based on my experience with clubs in other activities. We have a good thing there and this is a great way of keeping us on their "good side".

It will be a reinactment of an event during Operation Panzerfaust when the Germans went into Hungary in fall 1944 to put down a revolt when the Hungarians were going to abandon them as allies.
It seems the few German units in Hungary at the time equipped with Pantigers were so embarassed and demoralized by having to use the Pantigers, that they revolted.
The Pantiger revolt was put down by Abt. 503's KT's

RE: CAN-AM Battleday Nov 5/11
Unable to go to the CAN-AM Battleday today, I decided to sleep in, only to be woken up by my 3 yr. daughter who wanted to play tanks!
She wanted to play with the set of 1/72 VRS tanks I have. Life is good!
...maybe I can tell the wife it's time to get my daughter some of the bigger tanks of her own.

Numbers were down a bit, I think we had 8 tankers out, but we had excellent weather for this time of year and put in a full day.
We had some interested people stop by, too.

Yes, fun battles and good weather. A nice finish to the RC tanking year.
We talked about what changes we are going to make to the field next year and about meeting inside during the month of February.

We had a WW2 vet who served in the US Navy at Normandy and Okinawa stop by. He served in a 5 in gun turret on a destroyer.

Yes, the WWII Vet came with family members, their some seemed quite interested in the tanks.
There was some sort of event next door and we have quite a few visitors.

Hey guys, Ryan Guzowski here, (New KV-1 Tanker) finaly made an account and I must say the fourms are awsome!
Thanks for the great battle day! Many great memories in this one like getting cows stuck in treads and my KV-1's first barrel roll (Which it survived)
Can't wait to start painting up the KV-1 and adding more to it.
Also, if you guys need an extra set of hands I'd be willing (depending on rides) to come out and help mow the grass or dig some trenches ext. if you want, just let me know.
I'll hopfully see ya guys at the indoor battle day if not earlier.
