RE: CAN-AM Battleday Nov 5/11
The KV-1 was great! I love how easily it flys over terrain with the wider treads and it even excaped a few ditches that saw most tanks out for the gameThe SLU's are amazing in the KV-1, the sound is really cool and i love the anthem it plays!
I took a look at Tim's T-34 and i must say I would have a hard time choosing between the two as far as which one to put an SLU in first!

It was a good day of tank battles and i like the feild with the town in the center, more cover.
Ryan did good with his KV1 tank, it was a good runner. All the new guys did good...[:@]
Me on the other hand...[:'(] ...Im working on my tanks to iron out the bugs, and I did not use the Pan-Tiger, that would not be fair to Glen's king Tiger .
The king Tiger did look good, and I am installing some new parts on the Pan-Tiger to deal with it the next time we battle !!...and Derek too....AND DEREK TOO !!!![>:]

A bunch of us were talking about getting some pan-tigers to field the worlds only pan-tiger platoon. Silly Canucks.

Pan-Tigers of the world Awaken and Unite ,to claim our rightful place at the top of the tank food chain.
The question is not why... but Why Not ... Its preordained the strong will lead ...also Pan-Tiger come in such a cool paint job right out of the box.
Ho NO Ex pat tanker are you trying to mask the beauty that is the Pan-tiger, well at the vary least you can leave the front and rear drive sprockets in bright silver paint
in homage to its haritage.

Sorry Capt'n, I can not comply! - as an engineer certain things just 'offend my eyes' - shiny rims on a tank is one of them [&:] - but rest assured the old girl will merely get a few simple tweaks (because I am lazy!)
Update to 1945 equipment like the flame damping exhausts and crew heater is already done, getting the chin mantlet sorted out is next - toying with an 88/L56 as a main gun, and hopefully stereoscopic sights on the turret ala Schmallturm...!
And all because you and Hal gave the Pantiger some love, and I want a canvas to have a crack at the late war 'Octopus' cammo scheme....!

I hope you haven't permanently attached that heater unit on the engine grill yet.
It's a little off.

I know Jeff, trouble is that I found that if I orientated it per the Panther G it fouls the Pantigers turret as it swings around - hence the compromise position...
(So yes, I didn't glue it down until I was sure about it)
You win for noticing it first tho!

I see. I should have known better and that you're pretty knowledgeable on tanks to have made that kind of boo-boo.
Too bad there isn't something else you could do (reshape it or alter the turret) to eliminate the odd look. BTW, the Panther II (just as an example) didn't have this feature, just an identical one like the right side. Just a thought.

Hey Cap'n... you know that Bruder truck you picked up... I did a little reconnaissance at the Winners across the street from me and I found this truck...

Hay Ex Pat, you know what your doing, that Pan-Tiger is in good hands. post the build.... but think about the silver rims, you would be the envy of the tank would.. all the cool guys will have them
Hay monk, ya $24.99 ($65 at the toy store) for the loging truck and I think they have two more that I have seen but no big dump trucks or flat bead trailers, that I would buy.
They are good looking and with some custom work they look good in the feild and there are some who have R/C them.
I got mine from the SallyAn for $5 and painted it ,a fun project. Keep an eye out at that thrift store across the street from you, some good trucks there some times.

Don't let me de-rail your train of thought guys (choo choo!) BUT... I decided my too-bright-for-my-eyes tiger needed some mud.. and some shell holes.. and a hell of a lot of impact damage.
Frank your trucks are cool, I have a friend who's into scale & rc scratch builds & mods
Enjoy!

Looks awesome Strato. How'd you do the shell holes? My bulldog has enough mud... even on the newly bought metal tracks... but it's too clean to be battle weathered
