I got tired of paying more for shipping than for the part I needed. So, I have decided to make my own where I can. Havinggained confidence from buildingthe Late TIger Engine Cover I decided to build a working Visor for the Tiger 1
I build the basic shape from sheet styrene. Then used epoxy putty to fill the voids. This would also add extra strength. Once cured I filed the putty to shape. Slots were carfully cut into the frame for the cisor to slide up and down.
Like the frame the vosor itself was made from sheet styrene. This time I made a block by laminating the sheet together to form the basic shape. I then used a file and sandpaper to get the shape right.
NowI am goingto make a silicone mold on cast as many of them as I like. Take that shipping cost!!! Sorry for the crappy pictures but you get the idea.
