Boy it has been awhile since I contributed any nugget to you guys with respect a cost effective way to do something.
So here is one
Being that I have multiple tanks that do not have a Tamiya battle system, I devised away to make a socket that would allow a Tamiya TBU to plug into my DBC's.
Good old lego to the rescue again. Gather up these components

Drill out the center of a 2 post lego block and file away the material to make a nice clean rectangle.

Remove the plastic edge around an HL five pin socket.

Insert the socket into the lego
Cut a styrene tube in half lengthwise
Mark the positive and glue the tube as shown to align the TBU correctly.

The TBU will plug into this nicely.
Simple and very inexpensive solution for making TBU mounts.

Freakin Brilliant.!!!!!! Nice one Dan. How are the new DBCRC3's coming along. I'm quite certain this will be the electronics package I will be using in my Hobby Engine tanks ( Abrams/LEO).
