Default 21st Stuart Question

Can anyone tell me if all remotes for Stuart 1/6 are all the same frequencey or some are different? I have 2 Stuarts both are rc version, one came without a remote and it has A&B switches on the power switch. My other Stuart has "off & on" only. I tried to use the remote that came with my other Stuart and all I get is "start up" with no response from any other controll. (like its not getting a signal) To make sure I claify...the Stuart with "Off&On" came with a remote, it works fine.

Thanks
Rat

Good day
I have tested a friend stuart with my two remotes ( one two channels and a one channel) and it would not work, so I do think that there be a few chanels for the Stuart.
You did get it to start thats a good sighn, check the 12V battery make sure its fully charged ,that will be a good start . Or try a different battery,I found that one of my tanks did not work well with a 12v I found used.
May be take it apart and see if the wires are good and not lose on the boards.
In the worst caes you could up grade it to a hobby system and it would be a good runner.
good luck

Thanks for the reply, Ive tried 2 batteries know to be good, all it will do is start the motor (sound) but no other sounds will it make...like there is no signal. No wires loose that I seen and all plugs were intact. I may have to change out everything if I plan to play with this tank. Im new to rc tanks and have very limited knowledge of electronics....thats why I ask the dumb questions...lol
Thanks again,
Rat

By chance does anyone have a machine gun mount for this tank? I have all of the oridginal gun except the part that mounts to the tank. Any other spare parts may help as well.
Thanks,
Rat

Hello Rat,

What i can tell you most likely won't help you much.I still have three of the 1/6 stuarts (had 5 at one time ),and all of those only had the on and off switch. If I was to make a guess the one you have with a selector switch was mabe the last ones produced before they stoped making them.

I also had a 1/9 Abrams, also built by 21 st.Century and it had a chanel selector switch.

A couple of years back i found an on-line seller who was selling new parts for the 1/6 stuart and the 1/9 abrams.they had the following parts for both-Tracks,Sprockets,tools that hang on back of tank,Chargers, batterys, transmitters, gun darts, and a few other things i don't now remember.

I bought several sets of sprockets and tracks that fit the stuart's and a set that fit the abrams.I posted this source here on RCU and on two other forums and the word must have got around as it was not long after that the source seemed to dry up and they were gone.

I never did find anyplace where you could buy the Boards or gear boxes.Any of the roadwheel assembly's or Idlers you could find ever so often used on ebay.

I also have (2) of the 1/6 21 st.Century Hummers. They are big and they are heavy and well made. These i bought new in the box,one of which i use and the other i opened when i got it just to make sure it was not dammaged in shipping and it went right back in the original shipping box i got it in and it has sat in my spare bedroom ever since. These came in two colorsdark green camo&a tan color. These hummers came with four different channels-think they are marked chanelA-B-C-D..........
I paid $140.00 including shipping, and bought the tan colored one to sell down the road (thats what i had in mind when i bought it ).
The price i paid is why i bought it as at that time they were still selling them on ebay for $250.00 or more for a new one.But it just sits in the bedroom.Any one wants a nice christmas gift for themselves i'll let it go for what I paid.......PM me.

Just general info on what little i could tell you but mabe it will help you in some way.Hope you find what you need to get it going.Keep an on ebay as sometimes guys buy the used ones and part them out.Good luck....

For those who may have just bought one of the 1/6 stuarts or looking into them-I pulled up an old post that is in the "WAR ROOM section" that may provide you with some usefull information.

you can make it proportional with the transmitter and receiver you don't need the original electro anymore, that's what a member of our club did build in rc stuff
