Default Snow Plow Project

I have been working on a snow plow idea for some time. At first it was to be mounted on the front of my Leopard but my lack of R&D showed through so I went back to the drawing board.

Is this work or play? You decide.

This is my first working prototype... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xNFa...ature=youtu.be<br type="_moz" />

Okay, but next time let's mount it on the front of the tank and use Metallica instead.

That is sick! Dude, I have wanted a Sherman with a working plow for 3 years now. Someone in the UK has a really nice one and I hope I can convince him to sell it someday!

My first design was for the front of a tank... but that design failed.<div></div><div>This is a test bed to learn how to do the blade shape.

Oh, and Metalica was copyrighted, I could not use it on U-Tube without restrictions.</div>

Plow looks good. Tank looks good. Deck looks great, composite deck boards?

After you have the finished product, you need to upscale it to a 1/6 or 1/4, build the same size tank, then you can plow your driveway.

Cheers,
Wade

Not a tank but I put this bruder plow on the front of my Tammy King Hauler. It is also servo operated for elevation.

I wonder.... If you cut off the plow from that and made an attachment.... would it be big enough... what scale is that Airbrushler?

thats great...have you looked over youtube?

After watching all this, I think I know how i would do a rc tank plow.....
1) start with a cheep hl tight/panther with metal tracks
2) add 400 motors and 3:1 gears
3) mount the plow in 4 points like the above vid to the toe hook area
4) hook up the gun to raze and lower the plow and make it so the turret trevers moves the plow from right to left....

no idea how the plastic gears will hold up in the turret....but thats hald the fun.
