Zimmerit kits
#1
Etoarmour.com now has Atak zimmerit kits in stock for Tamiya Tiger 1 and P4, and Hooben Elefant. First shipment just arrived, with another in transit. I've also got two kits on their way to me in Krim so I can become familiar with them. There are more 1/16 zim kits in the works.

I have the zim for my trumpeter KT and had the set for the Tiger 1 for Christmas. I'm waiting for Welshdragon to source me a set for my Elefant. Haven't fitted any yet, any problems with fitting you guys encountered yet?

I haven't heard of any complaints on the kits when fitted to the intended tanks. I should have my two kits in about 2 weeks or so, depending on when local Post decides to come back to work after the myriad holidays they have from mid December to late January. The minute they arrive, I'll check them out on the Elefant and a Tiger 1 I've got sitting here. If there's any problems, I'll post them.

Tony is building a PZ IV using the ATAK kit. I"m sure he'll hop on here at some point and give his opinion. As far as I know he's liked it
and you do need to still do some trimming with a hobby knife.</p>

I'd say the one big downfall is you can't really put the zim kit on after a tank has already been built. As far as I can tell all the kits come
with resin parts to replace stock parts such as the mantlet. So if you already have the tank built you'd have to rip apart your
existing tank to get the zimmed mantlet in.
