Default confused

I bought the two Heng Long IR tanks below for my sons to play with, but I just saw a Heng Long IR receiver on Ebay.....do I need receivers for each of the two tanks to battle, like a Tamiya? There was nothing in the listing to indicate it and I found nothing with the search function on RCU. Sorry for the dumb question, but I've not bought one of these before.

Any info would be great.

Thanks,
Jason

I ordered them but I'm sure it will take a month for them to arrive. I just don't want to have to wait another month because the IR receivers do not come with the tanks. []

I have ordered them from Mato and they did not include the apple. Some vendors include them some don't. I think RC Dynasty may be Mato's online store although I could be wrong about that.

I see that you ordered from rcdynasty, they are Mato's ebay site, which is a good thing, Mato is a good company. The tanks you linked are the IR versions and as Airbrushler stated you should be getting everything you need to battle these two, in my opinion I believe you will be fine. Hope this eases your concern. If for some reason you would not receive the items for battling, send them an email or call and they will make it right. But like I said I don't for see a problem.

Cheers,
Wade

Hmmmm, well I went onto Mao's site and I do not see the "apple" listed with the package, I was under the impression these were included but not too sure now, I would give them a call, and see what they say. Sorry to add more confusion.

Cheers,
Wade

Just email the "seller" and ask if the IR Receiver (the apple) is included. Problem solved.

Welcome to RC tanking Alpha Male

Email the seller again and make sure the two tanks are NOT on the same channel (1 thru 4). More channels are avavilable. If they are you will not be able to battle against each other. If they are unwilling to promise that then try another vendor. Good luck and do not hesitate to ask any questions...we were all rookies once.

FYI There is a greaat RC tank club witha fine battlefield near you...Texas Armored near Monaville.

Thank you all. [sm=thumbup.gif] Halfway expected an Ebay vendor to not have a clue - especially since the receivers were no mentioned in the listing - but I e-mailed the seller and was told that they do come with the tank. One less thing to worry about.

Now I just have to make sure they don't end me two on the same channel......and hope everything works right out of the box!

Thanks Again!!!

Correcting the "two on the same channel" problem is not that big a deal or expense as not having the IR gear.

But, sounds like you'll be in business soon!

Wish there were more HL IR Allied tanks out there.  Kinda funky having two German tanks battling each other :-)
