Would anyone know how long is the output shaft length (from the bracket to the end) of the Tamiya Jagpanther Gearbox and of the Tamiya Pershing Gearbox?

David,
How bad do you need this information? I can help, but the only ones I've got are installed in tanks. I can bring them to the battleday on the 24th if you can wait that long; otherwise, I would be willing to disassemble them to take the measurements, but cannot do it until I have some time next week.
As to the Jagdpanther TU measurements, both the Tamiya Panther and JP share the same TU, so either would work for measurement purposes. Our JP has has Impact TUs in it and our Panther has stock Tamiya TUs. I can bring either.
Our Perhsing is stock Tamiya TUs. Of course, you probably know this, but Tamiya Pershing transmissions do not have the final drive shaft on it like most other Tamiya TUs...it has a small output shaft that goes into an external outdrive mounted on the sponson exterior, which in turn, has the final drive shaft inside it. I'm not sure which shaft you'll need to measure.
Again, if you can wait, bring your depth gauge, and we can disassemble the tanks and take measurements at the battle.

Spasiba Sev. Rebuilding/upgrading some of the mechanical portions on my t-34 and was looking into different TU options (you know... the easy list.... more speed, good torque, built in coffee maker/grinder.....) Forgot the tamiya pershing tu's had the pinion gear on them.... I'm currently running HL pershing gearbox's(shaved down ~4mm) and was contemplating mato 3.1 (pershing/long shaft) or tamiya style tu's but wasn't too familiar with the shaft length on the JP/Panther. Grax for the info!
