Well after much confusion and frustration it looks as though the new tracking number Warwick sent me is good to go, it alsolooks as though my Panther II just arrived at U.S. customs(whew). Even thought he's probably mad at me for being concerned about not having a valid tracking number I will still be a man of my word and leteverybody know how I likethe tank and post some pics. If everything turns out fine(which I think it will), I would still reccommend Warwick as a supplier, just make sure you have anunderstanding withhim as to the method of shipping(I didn't ask, and he didn't tell me). So if anything we both screwed up..lesson learned. Even though I haven't received thetank yet I even went ahead and closed the Pay-Pal case just to show him all Iwanted was a shipping confirmation...now I'm back tobeing excited..
p.s. if you do ordersomething from himbased on my review please let him know, as I don't think he realizes the buisiness potential a good review can do for him over here in the states on these kinds of forums..especially when he carries stuff nobody here in the states does..

jut FYI warwick took these pics while still completeing it so the mantlet still needed to be trimmed down and the gun fully installed, etc.

Sorry but every time this supplier turns up there is an issue. I don't think that makes them credible at all.Their intentions may be good but their practices and services speak otherwise.

You have a point....which is why I was leary of ordering form him because of his so-so reputation, but he's a great salesman lol..I even emailed him with a link to this thread toshow himI was trying to help him out even after the mix-up. Normally he always responds to my emails, but not now lol..oh well at least I can sayI tried....funny thing isonceI knowa guy (Phil,ETO,Yellowshaker,Welsch Dragons) is good to go(like the rest of us)I don't even need tracking info as I know I can trust them. I even told him this and how his rep was a little "off" over here and that maybe we could change things, but he just got mad and said he had plenty of buisiness and didn't care for the opinions of "forum rats" or something to that effect.. so what can you do?
Iwill still give a review of the tank when I get it, and if I like it (and I knowI will), I'll be happy to say that...

The thing he obviously forgets is that its "forum rats" like us who do the purchasing and with the known good sellers you mention, if he doesn't step uip to the plate, he's gonna go to the wall. Its not a huge hobby in the greater scheme of things and most information/gossip, call it what you will, gets known, either by word of mouth or on forums such as this. I'm sure the good sellers who serve us well have had an increase in thier sales with people extolling the virtues of thier services. It can work the other way too.

Dirtybird,
No offense so plese don't take it that way but it seems like you are stirring the pot unneccarily. You didn't get your tracking number immediately and there was some conusion there but just slow down, step back and wait for your tank to show up. No need to send him to the forum to see your review then inject the forum rat comment that was sent privately to you. Just relax, breath and wait for your tank to show up. Then let us know.
I hope it looks/runs great because I really do like the look of it.

You see, the only reason i make mention of this is because i once stood up for a once very good supplier and got burned pretty good.
This guy had nothing but good intentions too but personal matters took over and he was no longer able to keep the business together

after quite a few people had some bad experiences.

We need all the good suppliers we can get so I hope they get their act together.

I hear ya Perry, but after 4 or 5 days(I forget) and he said it had shipped already I cantacted australia post and asked them..when they got back to me they had no knowledge of that tracking number he originally gave mewhich really made me worry as were not talking about chump-change(at least for me). and then he wouldnt get back to me all of a suddenso I filed a case with pay-pal..maybe it was just bad timing on both our parts because immediately he had a NEW tracking number and was pissed that I filed a case..sorry but I was concerned and wanted to know what the heck was going on. But once that got straightenedout I calmed down and everything is fine(I even canceled my case once I got an active tracking number)..but he's still PO'd at me and won't return emails...what can you do..

it looks like it uses the same upper as mine, the lower aft end and the gun (mine is a 120mm, this is an 88)

Really mate - it doesn't matter that he is PO'd at you at all. I wouldn't worry about it.

The main thing here is that you have an active tracking number which at this stage seems to be legit, and your tank is on it's way to you.

If he is too stupid to realise that after treating you this way - you wont be back, then that is his loss (future sales and all).

Panther G made a very good point - everytime this dealer is spoken of on here it is bad.

Keen to see more pics of this tank when you get it.

You realize that you could have gotten this same kit from here in the US at RC Tanks of OKC for much less and shipping would have been faster and cheaper. not to mention he sells the tank for about 150 bucks or so cheaper.

nope different version of the same tank OKC tanks just take a jagdpanther and move things around and the side armor doesn't line up(look close at pics)....where this is an actual upper body kit..see the difference. plus mine includes all metal options detail partsjust a lot of stuffOKC doesn't come with...personally I like warwicks better.....it just has betterlines..

So, just how much is $150.00 less and where can you get it from? I think they both look good just depending on the price.

No dog in this fight but I can see that the tank you purchased is using the Heng long Pantiger lower hull and metal tracks. Notice no rise in the drive sprocket, low profile and it will have Tiger 1 suspension. Not saying it won't be great tank, but the Panther G has a better suspension, but you can always upgrade it to a Taigen lower hull ay.
You can get Nathan's custom work here, http://www.rctanksofokc.com/

that was kindamy idea lol...butI doubt it would fit a panther G chassis as it would be too narrow compared to the pantiger(or would it)? Butif your gonna use a Pantiger for something at least this issomething you wouldn't be ashamed of lol...and lets face it, this tank was never really built, so who's to say if they might haveexperimented withthe lay-out a little bit (tiger chassis/w panther bits&piecesto try new things)..so the current lay-out is as plausible as anythingI guess. Even though I don't care for OKC's their's is just as plausible, as this is how a prototype might have been done, as it would be much easier to move things around on an existingtank to test the theory before it went into any kind of production...that's the wonderful thing about paper-panzers..nobody can really rivet-countcuz anything was possible.. If I do have to stick with the pantiger chassis that's fine with me as I'll just upgrade the bejesus out of it lol...(thank god for a ton of tiger upgrades lol)..if anybody can suggest a list of upgrades I would appreciate it as I've never had a tiger style chassis before and don't know what to watch out for...
