Hey guys,
I purchased some Zimmerit from Steve (Welsh Dragon Models-excellent people and service) and he has advised me to utilize Uhu All Purpose glue. Living here in eastern Canada is trying for a modeller, I got to order everything and wait-out for a month or two. So with that being said, what would be an adequate subsitute for this glue here in North America, more specifically within a store like the Home Depot or any DIY type establishment. The zimmerit is like a Latex or Rubber type product.

Thanks again boys, this is an awesome site for Tanks related info.

I use acrylic binder for almost any non-similiar surfaces. It's completely non reactive, water based and has much better shear strength than CA.
It's basically acrylic paint without the pigment, Bindex is the brand that I've used for years to apply PE to styrene. It's since been repackaged by some as special PE glue, but that's what it is, acrylic binder.
You may not find Bindex or if you do it may be a big enough container to last forever, I'm still using the same jar from 15 years ago, but any art/craft store that sells acrylic paint will sell a 'binder' with it.
I would test it with the zim if it is latex, but it shouldn't be a problem. I used to work in the film industry doing effects and applied latex appliances with an adhesive that was a skin-friendly version of Bindex. Bottom line is it's really strong white glue, think Elmers on steroids.
