I actually wasn't sure I'd do a build thread on this one. Aren't many of them going on here these days, and i am thinking guys may be losing interest. We'll see how it goes. This should get interesting. LOL

I'll be watching.

I was kind of curious why there is traffic here, but not too many responses in general. I've only been here a short while, is this a recent development? I know static modelers tend to be 'vocal' in critique and support, but with RC, it mostly seems to be information exchange.

Thanks guys. I have watched a few threads go by the way side due to lack of interest, and that is a shame. Some of us do enjoy build threads very much and like to see them to conclusion. I know I have not seen any of the guys that normally do build threads start one for a while. Perhaps for the same reason? In any case, I will post here as long as guys want to see it.
This is probably going to be a long one due to my schedule of late. I have alot of little things to do with the kit, though I will try to keep it mostly stock....We'll see how it goes. I will be attempting the ATAK zimmerit kit on this model. I already installed ETO's metal gun deck, and it will be getting KK tracks too. I began painting them last week and will post pics of them when the work is done. I may try some new things here too.

Thanks tyo the guys who responded so far. It is nice to know there is still interest in builds here.

Go for it, Joey! My own lack of posts of late has been a result of work loads and the odd health problem, nothing serious in the health department, though. Main problem of was AlikPar decided that Daddy didn't really need his 'A' finger and broke it. Try typing without that digit!

I think the lack of build threads and related articles has more to do with summer and the spare time is being used elsewhere.

I'm interested Joe, I wish I had the time to contribute more on my deuce build, just don't have the time right now. And my Sherman I received is still in the box from two weeks ago. Too many other things need to be done first.

Cheers
Wade

I think it has a lot to do with the forum setup/layout.....its impossable to find anything on this forum. I took me 30 minutes to find my e50 build thread a couple weeks ago....if they had a layout like this, it would be great.......

Joe, you know I am watching you very closely, so do it right. ( as if he wouldn't anyway!)

I intend to start posting my DD build progress soon. Still getting things together for it.

I am fairly certain Hooben haven't stopped producing this kit.

I am also unsure if the kits have been discontinued. I do have one kit left in stock though. New and unopened and looking waiting for someone to build it into a battlefield terror.
Thanks for the support guys. I will try and make you proud on this build. I am thinking baout trying a different paint style on this one. I may use a color modulation on it and see how it turns out. I am a ways off from being ready for paint, but we'll get there.
I have a lot to live up to with the elephant after the unbelievable work that Craig (Streetsquid) did with his build. It will be fun though and that's what it's all about.

I think we are all still tuned in. We are having an incredibly nice summer, and it make sit hard to sit in the work shop. Late last night I ripped the top off my Leo to do some major refitting, but unless it starts raining, I have no idea when I will get back to it.
