Default Cool Panther variant

I was browsing Flickr and came upon this:



I wonder how long it went before the gearboxes broke? The caption for the photo said it was a Bergepanther and has since been restored at Saumur.

I've seen that picture way back.. I makes me feel sad. They have RUINED a perfectly fine Panther.

This picture has been on the net for about 8 years, what I can assure you is that this has never been restored, the French had 20 plus Panthers and a few Bergpanther, a number of these were given to Saumur, the French have had no need to spend to time and money involved it restoring the crain

There are lots of old Wehrmacht stuff in France. A few years ago one farm in 20 had a Kettenkrad. If it's sitting there unclaimed and they can get it running....someone will put it to use,
