Default Looking for Matoro Sturmtiger

Hi all,
Just curious is anyone might have a used running or not (even incomplete) Matoro Sturmtiger or at least the upper hull they might be willing to sell me.

I have been looking on-line for some time now (even evil bay)with no real success so I thought I would turn to this forum for possible help or direction. For one of my next projects I want to kitbash a Sturmtiger. I'm using a Tamiya Tiger 1 lower hull and torsion bar suspension, which I already have, I also already have a set of custom aftermarket metal/resin steel roadwheels and all the Tamiya electronics.

So if you have one with a fried board, stripped gears, broken suspension or even if you have a complete one you want to gut or part out please let me know and we'll see if we can work out a price. I'm not asking for a deep discount or a smokin deal, I'm more than willing to pay a reasonable price, but where all I need is the upper hull/gun I just cant see spending $150-200 for a new one, when I'm not going to use 90% of it!

Any and all help or suggestions would be grealty appreciated!

Thanks Streetsquid

PS If I can work out a deal with someone here I promise a build thread with lots of pics

Hey Joe,
Sorry man I know it's been a while! You know life just kindda happens, and time marches on. For me it seems like when life hits it all hits at once. For me it rarely rains, its usually a deluge!

I'll send you a PM offline to catch up, way more than I care to write about, let's share numbers again so we can reconnect.

Craig

Yellow,
Thanks not really a question of the money, but man just not sure I want to sink another $345 into a metal upper hull, I'm already into the T1 for $650 and another $150 in customer wheels. Plus adding that much weight, I'm thinking a Motorro or even an aftermarket resin conversion will suit me best.

This is just one of my current projects I'm also doing the Stug III aufs D with Asiatam lower hull, Tamiya electronics, and Profiline resin conversion set, and I still have the Pz IV being backdated from the F1 to the D version. Plus I got my sights set on a NEW Panther. So with this one, just not sure I want another $1100 or $1200 tank.

sturmgescheutz,
That's the exact metal set Joe (Yellowshaker) was referring too. Thank you for posting a reply, looks like you have a nice project going on there, just not sure I want to go down the "metal" road on this build.

Thanks

Duane,
Thank you! $60 bucks plus shipping for that resin conversion is exactly what I was looking for. It doesnt say in the description, but I'm sure that is made specifically for the HL Tiger, but since it's a knockoff of the Tamiya T1, I'm sure i can scap it together and make it work!

Don't worry your Tamiya T1 will be done first, in fact I'm hoping to have your grey one by the next battle day in November.

Thanx again!

Edouble,
Give me an allied vehicle that looks half way decent and can battle as well as my KT, and I'd consider building it. I already have a Sherman I'm not to fond of (you've got anothe 14 or 15) and I really don't like the Pershing - kindda tough to build something when there aren't really any options (not counting the KV's). If someone would realease a Crusader III, I'd be all over it!

Until then you just better keep recruiting more and more Allied help, you're gonna need it!

Jimmy,
Wow! I've never seen that one before, and that looks pretty bad _ss!

But no, I' sticking to a more traditional Sturm configuration, have always loved this tank. I know in reality this was a seige weapon and would not have stood much of a chance in a tank on tank battle, but I just love the lines, it looks menacing to me. And it poses some very cool weathering opportunites, and I think you know I kindda dig making my tanks look totally roached!

This has been my inspiration that I'm gonna try to duplicate!
