Delivery from Australia to Canada or the US is 4 to 5 weeks standard mail. Their expedited post and I got burned bad on this is 4 weeks at an upcharge of 900% more money.
I am not saying anything about the hobby shop as I have no experience with them, I am just stating that if you buy from Australia you are better off using a courier like DHL or Fedex but you will pay dearly for that service.
When you do buy ask them to assist you in getting the product here in a timely cost effective method, they should be able to help in that regard.

Delivery from Australia to Canada or the US does not need 4 to 5 weeks - usually only one week. Last time I received my antenna from www.tankarmy.com only 4 days after I paid.
International courier like DHL or Fedexin Australia is very very expansive. The best carrier is Australia Post.
I once ordered a set of new style bulldog metal tracks for only $62 plus postage $30. Ask them for details. They are very nice guys

I usually buy parts from them - those unavailable in North America. Yes, to save postage, I always giveNorth America sellers first priority.

I have visited your online store. No need to neg the Australian store
. We still buy from you first - only buy from overseas sellers for items that you cannot supply

Panzerman- just to set the record straight, I was not giving a neg to the australian store. I said I never dealt with them so I couldn't say bad or good about the shop, My experience with the aussie mail has been horrendous, If you went to my site you saw all the Mako product, All of it from Australia so I get regular shipments.
I have yet to get a weeks delivery, I even have on file a tracking number for an expedited parcel that took over a month, slightly bigger than a padded envelope and I paid $60.00 for express shipping. That is a slap to the Aussie post office NOT the hobby shop.
I also noted that when you buy from them ask them about their shipping, they are in a much better position to assist someone than I could be. I was just stating facts for us east coasters.
Your in BC,( hence my comment on being on the left side of the world ) just being there knocks 1 to 2 weeks off your delivery in comparison to my delivery, We all know Canada Post is not the fastest in the world. So your delivery is certainly different than mine would be.
I am not being negative on your post, just trying to set things in the same vein as I meant the words to have, Posts on forums are just posts and sometimes the true intent is misconstrued,
The point of my post was to make folks aware that they need to ask the shipping questions not avoid buying from the aussies. Matter of fact west coast has the advantage buying from that side while we have the advantage of Europe over here. Hope this clarifies the post.
