Default Sturmtiger

OK, frustrated now! I finally get around to buying a Strumtiger and now Toyzcastle is out of stock. DAMN! Searching the net, I realizeI have not taken a german class since high school, so needless to say, myGerman is a little rusty and ordering one from the several shops I found was problematic to say the least. Where is the best place to buy a Matorro Sturm? For the life of me, why are they hard to get here but easy in Europe?!? We have 1030 different types of Tiger I's, but no Sturm versions....I do have a donor Tamiya Tiger and am considering a kit too...Any ideas? Thanks!

Hey Cruiser,

You could get an RC Tank and start a grow op all from one store. Sweet.

Cruiser133,
I like the way you think! Strum conversion on a Tamiya lower hull and chassis, I just might need to try that! Oh wait been there doing that - check out my build thread if you're interested.

As far as conversion kits go, the resin one I have has been really rough and taken a lot of work. Same company offers a metal version for about $350 plus shipping from Germany, not sure if its still available but Imperial Modelbau out of Germany used to offer a resin kit ( I believe the one I'm using is a knockoff) and then there was the Wecohe for about $2000 grand.

In hindsight, I should have used the Matorro, but like you I was having trouble finding one (none to be found even on evilbay) and I really didnt want to spend $200 on somehting I was only going to use the upper shell. I look for better than 6 months with no real luck!

Now I wish I would have just bit the bullet and paid for retail for one!

What amazes me is the herd mentality of vendors. They all offer the same models usually within mere dollars of each other. Think outside the box, offer something no one else seems to have at a fair price and the customers will come! I know the model is available, there are at least 15 sites that cater to wholesales out of China. Maybe I should look into buying 30 myself and selling them here....
