Bracket gone... lets Battle March 30! DAK
Troops,
Now that my NCAA tournament bracket is toast..... we can focus on important things.... like battling!!!!
Saturday nears and we are promised good weather even though we are expected to hit 90Ëš. We will bring extra beverages and ice this time (that's a hint to some of you if you want to know what to bring) and don't forget your sunscreen and hats. Set up is at 9:00 and the more help we get the faster we start battling!!!!
Lunch is the usual pot luck affair. I will try to bring burgers as usual but please realize my time is limited by a certain 1 year old and I may simply forget to pick anything up beforehand!!
This battle will be the DAK debut of the new Tamiya JS-2 so bring your questions and watch out you AXIS swine. A few new vehicles will be in combat for the first time as well.
A few new members are looking for a first tank so if you have a "graciously used vehicle" for the export market let me know. We hope to keep some "deals" in the club to help growth. I have brokered a few deals in the past and my goal is growth and parity. Vehicles ready to roll with Tamiya battle systems are hard to come by lately but as club we should be able to light the way.
Club homework: Check local hobbystores for odd sales. I have found G scale train stuff, 1/16 scale models and other weird Items that might make good field accessories. Dont forget Hobby Lobby and their 40% coupons!
If you need t shirts, let me know. I have a new batch of the SHORT SLEEVE SAND coming. $20 each.

Good turnout and good eats there too. My team was eliminated Thursday but still it's a little far. 
But the pics looked great and the sun was shining so I'm sure it was a good time.
Thanks for the report and the great pictures. Next, we need to see some video from there too!

I'm sad we missed it. We had such a great time last month we did talk about going down to the battle but budget kept us home.
