Default T-34-76

Well I have been busy modding a T34 76 kit to match with a WSN Chassis. On this particular build I started with all the turret mechanicals first. It has adjustable recoil, servo elevation and a Heng long set up for turret rotation. All the access hatches have been made to open

I have the DT gearbox set up to add to this, as well as all the running electronics. It will have a DBC3 with Benedini for sound.

This is the first blast of paint

I ended up with two sets of the solid wheels. I just finished painting them, So this tank and the SU 85 will both get them

Looks great Dan. I hope to see it in person at Danville in May. I hope you will make the trip. I know Mike from MI was looking for a travel mate.

Looks really good Dan, so what do you have in store as far as the paint after this base coat?

It will get some shading and a couple of darkening washes. I then go over the whole thing with a soft brass wire rotary brush in my drill. Pictures will follow.

I started working on the mechanical side of this tank. I installed a Tamiya gearbox and the Darryl Turner conversion on the drives.

Next up is the Electrical wiring for the drives.( All the turret electrical is already done.) Should have this moving around in no time

Dan,

Which Tamiya gearboxes did you use? Any modifications?

Where did you get Darryl Turners final drive and sprockets from?

Thanks

I bought the conversion from Jeff,( Panther F) He had too many projects laying around So I bought these along with an SU85,

There is a final drive mod you need to do to the Tamiya boxes to add the DT output shafts. The conversion includes a metal mounting plate, that I in turn bolted through the floor of the tank. A very solid installation once done.

So where can we get Darryl Turners Final Drive and Tamiya TU conversion? I know you bought them off Jeff, Pantehr F, but maybe Jeff will tell us where he got them?

Thanks, Rudy

I'd like to have a pair of those sprocket setups and a set of the aluminum suspension arms.

I made some decals and painted it up with some shading. This has been coated in Dullcoat to preserve this finish prior to detailing
