I asked my father to 'direct' the video, he was following it around the yard I'm VERY happy with how this tank navigates what is essentially fairly thick grass.. my Tiger or KV-2 would be having severe issues. It's a fairly light 'stock' HL at about 5 pounds!
Glen I'll bring this to the June meet, for sure. I wish the Clark came with music

Excellent, is it all IR capable and able to smoke Capt. Action's Pantiger?

Added some turret Schurzen today... I wasn't sure if I'd like it or if I'd even build them, but you know what they actually look good to me!!

So this is the decal sheet I ordered with some other parts for this build...
Question is, other than the " Y ''' " insignia, what units / divisions are the others?
I'd like to use the most 'proper' one for a PnzIv G in mid 1943 through to mid '44 including Normandy.
Anyone know the proper units?

You may want to consider some water slide or dry transfer decals instead of the HL Stickers. Maybe make your own stencils or rctank .de has them for purchase. Check out this site as well for decals, http://www.artistichobbies.com/index.html.

I just have the decals because they were cheap and readily available ;P More curious than anything about the divisions they chose to print; I might invest in a decent airbrush soon so stencils would work out well, thanks for the links

Strato50,
I found stencils for one of the markings you have on your HL Sticker Decals. They were on the rctank.de site. They represent two different Panzer IV H tanks that belonged to the 35th Panzer Regiment. At least the HL stickers are more accurate than I thought. The schemes look good, but if you wanted to use them it would require a repaint of your tanks camo. I think that it was attached to the 4th Panzer Division? I did a little more digging and the 35th Panzer Regiment was the Armor part of the 4th Panzer Division The black Shield is the Division marking and the Bear, which is the 35th symbol, was the "Grizlibär", a menacing grizzly bear.
Cheers,
Rudy

Did some more work, the emitter is now installed as you can see in the picture in the left hand lower part of the manlet.
I received the ausf G barrel from the earlier mentioned eBay vendor along with some tow cables, a metal bucket & some smoke launchers (some G's had them!)
The emitter is from an SLU package but works fine as tested with the Clark board.
Schurzen are detachable by means of magnets, very handy.

Barrel LED flash installed, showing off the turret and barrel functions.
Interesting note you can see the violent colour of the IR LED on the side of the mantlet.

Looking good. I must have missed the post...where did you get the G gun tube and the smoke launchers? Those with smoke launchers were in Italy, France or the Eastern Front.

Strato be careful with that IR emitter location. You will have a huge IR "Blind-spot" or "dead-zone" to the right of your tank barrel with that configuration. I just wanted to make sure you know about it now and not on the field. If you want to play it safe, make a Tamiya clip on style IR emitter and wire combo to clip onto any tank as a spare. Your P4 looks neet.

Thanks commander :P I just took a look at it and compared the the picture I posted it actually sits a little bit forward of the manlet itself, so I think there's a bit of an optical illusion at work here, hehe.
Looking down from the end of the muzzle break down to the emitter it's about a 10-15° arc between the emitter line of sight & the tip of the barrel... I will do some field testing and see if that hinders my shots!
