Default tamiya flash unit question

Guys, I am trying to locate a flash unit for my jagdtiger project. I located a Sherman unit, will it work with the kt dmd and Mf unit? What are the differences in flash units? Length?

Any guess if the Sherman unit will be long enough for the jagdtiger barrel?

I don't think so, it was way to short for my Tiger or JP barrel.

I didn't realize there was a difference in length, but it makes sense. If you can't find a longer one than the Sherman unit, it can alway be extended at the base in a few minutes with the soldering iron.

Tamiya only make 2 flash unit lengths.  Short for the Sherman, Long for everything else.  Get the long one.

I just picked up the last one Jason had for $37.50 and 4 to ship it... not a bad price. It's for my M36B1 build.

I'm slowly getting all the parts for it!

Sorry, I can't. The M36 has a long 90MM gun, just like the Pershing.

Try the AAF. I know they wont have the best price but it will be competitive and they will have what you need.
