The Ultimate Weapon of Mass Destruction
Every time there is a full moon I suffer from a mental condition known as "Serious Silly Syndrome". Or maybe it's because I have too much spare time on my hands. Anyhow, I got to Googling the web recently and ran across a website that had a drawing of a "What if why not" AFV. It was identified as a "modified object 263",,,,.. a Soviet tank destroyer - (tier 10). I thought it was interesting. It got me to wondering if I could build a similar one out of the stuff in my spare parts boxes. It started out simple enough and then things got out of control. That's when I should have stopped listening to my friend Jim Beam, and taken my medication. Sometimes Jim inspires me to do things just to make me look like a fool.
I got to looking at my old Doyusha 1/16 R/C Abrams, and it was the perfect lower hull upon which to fabricate this monster without messing up the lower hull (too much). I just couldn't resist fooling around with this idea and here is the result of the brain damage I have acquired since birth. The more I built, the more I wondered about how many resin and styrene things I could glue on this goofy project until I ran out of space. This is my paper and plastic Panzer version of that Russian tank destroyer. A Double Dealing Dynamic Duo of Death and Destruction ..... my Jagd-Elefant, which can be converted to a Sturm-Elefant.
If you think my idea is insane, check out this link ....... the experimental stuff on these pages makes my brain cramp look practical and reasonable.

Interesting to say the least. Lots of really idiotic ideas came out of tank developement, mainly designed by those who never had to
live in one. Must have considered midgets for the turrets and it would be interesting to see the driver's backside if that's his vision door over the left track. [&:] Nice build. These things are always fun to assemble.

The drivers backside is not the issue .... The driver is laying down on his stomach and is wearing a titanium cup on his package.

In that case we will both need a designated driver.

You're a mad man :P
It needs a mini-bar at the rear. I noticed the Tauchpanzer snorkel set, so it can swim too. Nice :P

No room for a mini bar ...... the pool table and hot tub would get in the way ........ Tauchpanzer snorkel kit? Is that what that is? I had no idea!!!!!

Rex that's absolutely amazing creativity and re-use of parts. Really a neat build to see; as it's so different from most builds, which concentrate on painting and stowage to make it look different from everyone else's build.
I am waiting for you to attempt Object 279 - if anyone can build it; it's you. -Mike

I have looked at that Lunar Land Rover from Outer Space and have wondered what brand of Vodka that design team was drinking ..... and I would definitely avoid it at all costs. The cost of track alone would severely damage my piggy bank. I have no idea why I like to build stuff that nobody else would consider. I think it's to compensate for the fact that I can't do camo paint jobs, battle damage, stowage, crew figures and weathering worth a darn. []

Rex,
Beautiful Job as always. Does the detachable barrel double as an industrial strength stripper pole for the camp followers to entertain the troops?

The thought of a dancer that needs a pole as big as an 88 mm cannon barrel scares me! [X(]

So, when are you going to make a kit available........
Then you could prove that insanity is contagious!
So, when are you going to make a kit available........

Hey .... In my case, insanity really was contagious. I got it from my ex wife ............. But his hobby is my therapy. I have fun with it.
A kit? I don't think so. As I mentioned at the start of this post, the lower hull of this Jagd/Sturm thingy came from a Doyusha Abrams tank that I got about 15 or more years ago. It cost $200 at the time and it is more toy than model, but at the time it was a really nifty neato gizmo. I took it to a BAT battle day just once, then it became a shelf queen. This project gave that piece of plastic a new life (back on the same shelf).
Never throw anything away ...... you never know when it will come in handy.
