Default vk3601

I came across an interesting kit on the Ludwig-hobby site and was wondering if anybody has ever built a vk3601? I have a donor hl tiger to base it on. Any help would be appreciated. I am grinding one on WoT at the moment with the konisch gun and would love to build one if possible.

it pretty tough sledding to build the specific parts. I would think a Panther G turret might be easier to use for the turret though. <div>I would sketch out a few different views of what it is you want to do then start with the lower, once the lower is complete then build the turret to fit.</div><div>As your turret is going to be really small I would think 2 Hitec  HS81 servo's will fit the bill for the elevation and recoil.</div><div>plan your elevation unit  to hang in the turret hole and push the gun up or pull it down via a linkage.</div><div>I would cut down or add to existing parts and try to stay away from scratching this unless you have a solid plan on how it all goes together. </div><div>Remember maintenance is key, all your major parts must be removable for repairs.</div><div>
</div><div>this will certainly test your build skills regardless of who you are. I wish you luck and if I can offer any help don't hesitate to ask.</div>

Thanks Freaky. It looks like the Ludwig site used a HL Tiger lower as the basis for the upper VK3601 kit. I was thinking the same on the Panther turret. It looks close enough as far as I can tell. Has anybody ever built one yet or done a build report?

I'd like to know more about it too, it's a great looking tank and has the potential to really tear up the field.

It's also one of my long time favourites in World of Tanks.

Looks like they cut down a set of plastic Tiger tracks or used a set of 'transport' tracks, the Vk3601 were somewhat narrow compared to a Tiger.

Thanks Christian, I sent you an email for a total shipped for the upper hull assembly. I have some HL tanks in various stages of disassembly from my other projects that I will use for this. Does anybody have a good supplier for a complete Panther turret/mantlet/barrel assembly?
