I recently purchased one of the Turnigy 9x transmitters flashed with er9x Tank from Immortal Hobbies. It looks like it is going to be a great radio but how the heck do you get it to work properly with the Tamiya DMD t-07? I can get most of the directional functions working properly, but that is about all. No main gun firing, mg, lights, etc. And when you power on the Tx the tank immediately starts up without any prompting? I would like to setup the Tx to make use of the toggle switches for startup, main gun firing, etc. I have emailed Immortal Hobbies but no response so I thought maybe someone out there could help. Thanks for the help guys!

furious-son sorry mate I don't think I recieved your e-mail. I am not a Tamiya expert by no means but I will still do my best to help you out. If most of your directional functions are working properly then it is just a matter of getting all your functions onto the right channel.
I'll take a look at the T07 and see if I can work out the settings for you.
If your going to do advanced programming ie setting specific switches for specific functions like firing the cannon I suggest you go here first http://openrcforums.com/forum/index....7b67809016f8d2 that is the 9X forums and there are way more super experienced people that have gone through every issue you can imagine. Only bad thing about the 9X forums is that they are mostly plane and heli folk, not too many tankers.

I'm not familiar with the T-07, but all my Tamiya tanks start up when you switch on the tank power if the transmitter's on. You can add a switch-actuated warm startup/shutdown function with Dimension Engineering's Pico switch (or the Turnigy version)-- a tip I picked up from the DAK website for programming the original Spektrum DX6.
I strongly suggest that you get the er9x firmware manual.pdf (Google it). With it, I figured out a lot and wrote a tank-specific article on programming the Turnigy 9x: http://jbwid.com/art74m.htm . This briefly covers the issue of firing the cannon by adjusting the end points of the left stick past the norm (also from the DAK website). This should also apply to firing the machine gun. (I don't know about turning on the lights, since none of the DMDs I have control lights.) The Turnigy 9x is an incredibly powerful transmitter, but it can get a little tricky to program some of the fancy stuff. The info's out there, you just have to search for it and experiment!
Good luck!
