Are those good quality units ?

Will they fit Tamiya stock drive wheels ?

I'm guessing since you said Tamiya Jagpanzer that it's a Jagdpanther you have, if so theses are the right tracks.

I have them on my Jagdpanther and they do fit the stock Tamiya sprockets.

A Jagdpanzer is not the same as a Jagdpanther. the Jagdpanzer uses a PzIV hull and tracks so be certain of what you are looking for. Mitosal is Impact so the tracks should be fine.

Jagdpanzer is the generic term meaning tank hunter so yes he is right in one way but Jagdpanther is a better description the other Jagpanzer includes the Jagdpanzer IV series both V and A variants with L70 or L48 cannon Hetzer also falls under the term Jagdpanzer as do a number of other vehicles

So did you use the Tamiya Panzer IV lower hull for your conversion or did you use the HL Panzer IV lower hull?

Yes it is. The photo was taken of the L/70 (V) at the Patton Museum before they moved it to the new Armor School in Georgia.

If you used a Tamiya Panzer IV full option lower hull I would use the Impact Panzer IV tracks in the 1st photo. If you used an HL Panzer IV lower hull I would use the Mato metal tracks that come with the correct drive sprocket and idler in the 2nd photo.

The Impact tracks may not look as good in the photo as they do in person. I have a set and they are solid closed pin tracks and have good track pins that do not slip out during use. You can get them at Mitosal Models. Here is their web site. http://www.mitosal.com/Panzerlll.html

You can get the Mato Tracks at Matomart, http://www.matomart.com/ I am going to try them on my HL JagdPanzer IV L/70 (V) I am working on right now.

Thank you .

I may try the Mato units . Are they closed pins as well ?

Which ones use stronger metal for longevity ?

Since you are in Canada, I would say Mato. Since they are located in Ontario as well.

My experience with Mato tracks is that they are poor quality. I've owned several sets, each time the experience was the same. Track pins just didn't stay in, no matter how many times I glued them in. When the pins weren't coming out, some of the metal links actually crumbled.

I would bank on Jeff's opinion, guy knows his stuff. The impact would be a better choice imo. I have both sets and the impact version feels and looks more substantial. You will pay more, but you know what they say about that...

Cool

You will not regret the quality of IMPACT tracks.

I use both IMPACT and Kenny Kongs tracks.
