Default Ready for the Russian winter.

I came across this amazing photo a few days ago and couldn't resist getting out the brass stock and soldering iron. It works like a charm, one end pin is spring loaded and it mounts in the towing eyelets just like the real one. It pivots up and down and is easily removable, I just need to add some detail and paint.

Thanks guys.

Bob, I just made it yesterday in hopes of another NEAD day soon. If I had one of these for the Hyundai, maybe I would have made it down last Saturday.

Here's the only other info I could find, but it was enough to figure out the rough dimensions:

The sound coming from your tank, is just from a Clark board or is mated with a Benedini board? I can't really tell. If I were to guess, maybe just Clark sounds.

Nah, it's straight up Tamiya, but the volume is turned down real low to avoid disturbing the house while filming. The snapping is the motor torque causing the tracks to slap against the hull overhang when they start rolling.

That's kinda what I thought. Happy to hear because I'm going to install a Benedini board with my TK-22 and if you had a Benedini set up it sure didn't sound good. I will be purchasing it soon from Dan and can't wait to get it in. This stuff is just so $$$$$$! If you know what I mean.

I've got the Benedini and amp from Dan in my StuG. It's hands down the best RC sound system out there, worth every penny. You can mount it on a card and switch between tanks to get more use out of it.

I'll be using mine in a RC torpedo boat soon.

You mentioned amp. Is an amp necessary? I'm using mine in a Tiger 1 with up graded speaker.

Actually I just disconnected the amp last week because of the power drain (the biggest battery I have is 4200 mAh NiMH). I noticed no real difference whatsoever in the volume I normally use, which is pretty loud when outside. I'm using a Visation speaker and I would get brownouts on the DBC after 12-15 minutes of hard driving with that battery. Once I disconnected the amp, I went well over 35 minutes without a brownout when I stopped and the battery had plenty of juice left.
I'll use the amp when I want to hear Merlins (or is it Packards?) across the lake in the Vospers, but for engine and battle sounds in tanks, the Benedini does just fine on it's own.

I ordered the amp when I first hooked up the StuG and was drowned out by all the Tamiyas on the battlefield. So I put in the amp and a better speaker, but in actuality, the amp wasn't being used much, the speaker itself made all the difference.
