You will love it. I have built four "Tam-Long" Stug IIIs so far. The last one for Gene in LI NY last Fall. It is a great IR battle tank too.

Here it is fighting with Brett's Pzr III at Danville.

That looks like a Fin stug, not a German one.

I like the camo, you did a nice job. Stug's are fun.

Like the way the gray looks Dark Yellow from a distance, before I enlarged the photos. Nice work. The color plate is defiantly a Sturmi form Finland.

Looks awesome!

Could you do me a favor? Could you measure the outer diameter of the gun tube at the base of the muzzle brake? I need to see if I could get that brake onto a PzIV F2 to convert it to a G. TIA

Philipat,
I was able to us the muzzle brake from the HL panther. I had to open the inside diameter bit, but screwed it on with no problem.

You mean you used the Panther brake to make a PzIV G? Didn't know that they were the same muzzle brakes.

Sorry...not trying to hijack your thread. You've got a good-looking StuG going.

This is the variant I'm looking at.

Yes, please. If I can find someone that has the PzIV F2, I'll see if I can get the measurement for the gun tube OD at the base of the brake. Since the StuG III and the PzIV G used the same L/43 gun, I know that the StuG brake will be the correct one.

Have you considered this.... You can get it from IMEX Erik for $19. It is a direct replacement on the HL PZ IV and has the muzzle break you want. Edit: Forgot to say FreakyDude has these as well at Imortal Hobbies in Canada!!!

I have. But, if you closely at the end, it looks more like the late G/early H rather than the early G. (see attached photos) I should ask Erk, though...that would make the upgrade much simpler since I think it does support airsoft, too. I just found the attached pictures over the weekend. Would be nice if Erik had photos from multiple angles.

@philipat, I have one of the IMEX replacement barrels so I will find it and take some photos of the muzzle break for you.

@philipat

Here are the photo's I promised. I had not looked at this thing in a while. The barrel portion is drilled all the wat through as is the muzzel break. The barrel appears to be an L43, but I am not sure as I am not sure how much protrudes out past the armored par of the turret/mantlet of the StuG or the Panzer IV. I only compared it to the StuG and it seems shorter? The Muzzel break looks like a late Panzer IV G or early H. I think it could be modified back to the more rounded G version with some miliput though. For $19 it is not a bad upgrade at all.
