Default Taigen Jag

Has anyone bought one of the new Jags from Taigen? Does it have metal lower hull and torsion bars? General opinion would be appreciated.

I got one. Really nice tank and runs great. NO metal lower hull. It has metal tracks, drive/idle wheels, barrel. It is my 2nd fav next to the Taigen Metal Late Tiger I.

Are you talking about this?

In 'murican money that's about $480.

I'd really like to see a review myself. I love this tank. I have the HL that I've done a bunch of upgrades to, but it still needs a lot more.

The link above says that one has "new metal hull". Is that different from yours? How long have you had yours? I have a Taigen FM T1 late, too, and you're right, great tank.

I have the IMEX one (BB):

http://www.artistichobbies.com/prodd...?prod=TAG13021 (but I got mine from Splatterpaintball up north here in Canada)
check out the youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5JVnMO1z2I

The one at RCTant.de is slightly different as it has the upgraded lower hull, and was too rich for my blood (Canadian dollar sucks, and shipping to me is a lot), plus I like dealing with Erik and supporting the Canadian shops.

I have had mine for about 2 months. Great tank. Only one small issue and that was the barrel holder cracked when I unknowingly jammed a BB and kept trying to fire, but Erik@Imex is getting me all fixed up.

Tank is worth it for the price. And it looks really really cool.

@Erik

Any plans to do an update on your Panther G, i.e. come out with a metal version?

The only trouble with the one from artistic hobbies is that it's out of stock.

"Out of Stock" is not really out of stock, heh. I bought my PzIV from them it was avail when I added it on the cart but was sold before my order was processed; they re-order constantly and it was only a delay of ~3 - 5 days. Email them first if you want, but they typically re-stock even at order. Free shipping and IR on all the units are a big plus for me. Good guy (Gene) and good store.

I've heard good things about artistic hobbies so I plan to try them, as well as Immortal Hobbies. That seems like another dependable dealer.

Unfortunately not, best to invest in new stuff and toys

Call Gene and ask him personally. I believe he was out of stock because I took the last few I had to the most recent show. Ask him again

Yes, these two dealers are my go to guys. I will recommend dealers near a person, but if distance is no issue than these guys will always be my top picks. It is always best to refer to dealers that have a great knowledge and passion about the hobby.

I wouldn't worry about Gene. I have bought from him before and was happy plus, he answers emails very fast.
