He's back!

Hello,
My name is Justin Day, or armornut. I've been running tanks since before the dmd units, was in BAT for several years, left and helped form Kelly's Hero's. Long story short, left Kelly's hero's on bad terms and went silent. I used to run the yahoo group armornut's rc armor hut.
I've built 3 Tamiya Tiger 1s, 2 Tamiya Shermans, a Bandi Stug IV conversion, a 1/6 scale armortech jagd panther and heavily modified a 21st century stuart.
I got rid of all of them and stopped the hobby 3 years ago, sold all of my tanks (I regret the armortech jagd panther every damn day) as the result of a divorce.
Now, I'm back. Some will groan at the sight of my name, some will not remember, and hopefully some will Remember me and still be cool.
I'm looking at tanks to get back in the hobby. My inclinations are a Mato Stug or Panzer III versus the imex all metal king tiger. I've read the reviews I can find, watched all the videos I could find and am now seeking the advice of anyone who'll offer it. I'm going to try and go ir for battles. If I could find a kit I'd be happier, but it's not a huge issue. So, what's the pro's, cons and *** ' s for the tanks I've mentioned?
Advanced thanks for the advice.
Armornut
Ps: anyone have experience with the Chinese 1/6 tank maker metal box? I'm looking at the Luchs they are producing, it looks amazing.

If you want a StuG III, I recommend the Taigen lower hull with the HL/Taigen upper. I have the lower on my PzIII and it is really good. I don't have the King Tiger, but it looks like it is built along the same lines as my PzIII hull. So, that would be my choice if I wanted it to be RTR.

Well Hey Justin! Welcome to RC Universe!
I joined the RC Tank hobby in late 2004 and was a regular on armornut's until this and other forums became really active. Glad you're back in the hobby and if you need any help catching up with ANYTHING just let me know.

Welcome back Justin (to the hobby)
Appreciate your dedication providing a forum for us tankers some 15 years ago now when it was just exploding.
Can't offer advice on those models you mention but if its Tamiya, Hooben or scratch projects, maybe I can help.
