Default I'm back!!! Hello Florida!

First off, thanks to the forum members/youtubers/facebookers and more that came out and saw us! It was a great show and I had tons of fun meeting everyone and playing with toys I did make it back to the office albeit a few hours later than originally planned (Chicago airport is still feeling the effects of the derp who burned down the control center) safe and sound. I will be catching up on emails for the next few days and I should be back to prime time by the end of the week!
We made some new friends at the show and hopefully will make for a large influx of new customers. Big Squid has always been my go to site for RC reviews, I have been into RC cars for as long as I can remember. These guys have influenced a lot of my purchases over the last few years. I sat and chatted with them and had a great time! We even did some I guess you would call them "truck pulls" but here is what we learned:
Sherman M4A3 owns a Kyosho Blizzard on both carpet and concrete. I even let him get on carpet and me on concrete and he started stripping gears
Adam "The Intern" custom made 8x8 owns the Sherman and just barely beat out the King Tiger. The King Tiger was hopping trying to pull it but that 8x8 is SERIOUS stuff!
Hopefully those videos go up soon on their site. I really liked talking to these guys, they really know their stuff! That 8x8 was all custom made and very intense. What I think it needs is a tank on the back of it.... I'll see what I can do about that

Now if only a certain other tank manufacturer there didn't try to steal our dolly then it would of been a perfect trip. It was taken right off our truck! We had to go hunt it down and remove their "product" from it haha. I'm sure it was an honest mistake. Anyways, it was a pretty good show, very busy. I will try to get a video edited or uploaded for you, I made a very large one but I did it on dealer day so there are items I cannot show and have to cut out. All in all it was very enjoyable and a lot of new products got announced. The new Proline truck was revealed by Big Squid as well as the new large scale Axial Yeti! The robot battles were amazing as well! I can't wait to visit again next year!

I pulled the Kyosho Blizzard with our new Sherman and totally owned it
If you take a look at BigSquidRC.com and look around for Adam "The Intern's" 8x8 you will see the monster. I'll look around myself as well... I swear I took a ton of pictures of it somewhere...
However, his 8x8 is a MONSTER beast and totally owned the Sherman. The weight on it is a lot and those soft rubber tires have a lot of grip. I switched over to the King Tiger and just barely couldnt pull him. It was hopping trying to pull it but it just couldn't compete with those rubber tires on the carpet. Next year with our metal track/rubber pad grip combo on a certain new tank it should be a bit different
Hopefully there is a 2015 iHobby show next year to compete! I'm sure I'll see them before this time next year anyways, RCX is a large show and definitely my favorite show of the year. I even got gourmet beef jerky at the last RCX show

Got it, kinda of a tug-o-war deal....I though you were doing truck pull races, i.e. pulling bricks or something,....did not find the 8x8 on that site, but I did stumble upon some 'devil squid girls' instead! haha.

Ouch

From what I could tell that Island paradise has it's share of people escaping the winter as well.. Might be like jumping from the frying pan into the fire!!!!

An HL Leopard with metal suspension, wheels, Mato Rubber pad tracks, and that motor gear set combo from Hobby Raw, would put up one hell of a fight I would think.

I was talking to Adam about it earlier and it seems he hasn't set up the tranny so ATM he is is low gear only.... I might have to go brushless in our upcoming Abrams We will have metal tracks with rubber pads on it so hopefully that makes a large difference. That truck is very nice and heavy. Hopefully I see him soon, we shall rematch! If you check out bigsquidrc.com you can see our booth! I will set up something with them soon, the more people we can get into the hobby the better!
