Hey all, I've got a Panzer lll (heng long) that's going to be a winter project. I wanted to get your opinions on the lower hull. I will be replacing the motors and electronics. Also I want to go with metal tracks and wheels. My question is would I be ok with upgrading the suspension with heavier springs, heavier shocks, and swing arms? Or would it be smarter to go with the Taigen metal hull like I did with my Tiger?
Thanks for your help

Now that Football season is over?
I've heard a lot of good things about the Mato lower.
I made the mistake of going piece by piece on the StuG which really stretched out the process in both time and cash. If I was to do it again, I'd go all at once. Check with Dan (YHR), I think he has the Mato.

The Mato Metal Chassis is solid with Torsion bar suspension. The earlier ones had some interference with the shocks, but that was fixed in the later ones.

Jeff, As a life long Jets fan I can state somewhat authoritatively that the season was over BEFORE it started. (:
After doing the math I think it just makes sense to go with the Taigen lower, I have one on my Tiger and I'm pretty happy with it.

The Mato Lower is $179 with free shipping. Metal wheels are included. The Taigen you will have to spend $60 for wheels so the cost difference is not that much. With the free shipping offer there might be no difference.
The Mato Metal hulls are solid. You can stand on them.
