Default Difference between current Tigers and past Tigers?

Hey guys. I bought 2 tanks today from a guy off Gumtree for an excellent price. Both need work done on them. Even though I said I'd never buy one, one of the tanks is a Tiger. From uploading a picture of them on the World Rc Tank Community on FB, one member said the moulded barrel and mantlet are from anywhere between 2-3 years ago. Before I start buying parts, I would like to know if there are any differences on the external hull between the Tiger from a couple of years ago to the ones now.

The main differences I can think of are moulded on tools, upside down mantlet, and no bracket on the turret storage bin. The new ones might also have the rear turret lifting hook installed. There are probably a few others I can't think of at the moment but I'm sure someone else will chime in. The old Tigers need a fair bit of work to bring them up to scratch but it depends on how accurate you want to be. There are heaps of good builds to look through here and on other sites, mine is over at HobbyHavoc. Tigers are an awesome tank and there are no shortage of after market parts so enjoy.

Cheers. Pretty much most of the old molding is on the parts I'm looking at replacing anyway. Cheers mate. I'll get my parts from Tankarmy, who seem to have taken all their HL tanks off the site. Which worries me. Got to get my parts quick just in case something goes on with them.

Rctank.de is another good supplier for parts that tankarmy or ozarmour don't have. They are in Germany but shipping to Australia is amazingly fast and they are great to deal with.

I've heard people swear by that site. Might have to start looking there.

Also try DKLM. Carson is the guy there, and he's an active forum member so make sure you mention RCU to see about a little discount.
