Help, Heng Long controller isn't working
#1
---Issue is fixed thanks to Max-U52----
So I got my first tank, which is the Heng Long Leopard. The tank is a beauty, but the issue is that I cant seem to start it
The light on the tank turn on when I press the switch, however, it seem like the issue is with the 2.4 ghz controller. I insert the batteries in and press the on/off switch on the front, however the power light doesn't to be turning on at all. I even open up the controller to see if there are any loose/broken wires, but it seem like everything is fine. Any help ???

Did you try binding the TX to the MFU? If you need help with that I might be able to point you to a video, or you can search youtube. Sometimes when you get them you have to bind the MFU to the TX but it's not hard.

Wait, I think I saw this before. I think you might need to remove the strip of plastic between the batteries in the TX. Don't so anything yet, I'll see if I can find the thread. When you turn on the TX the little red light doesn't come on? Do you have a power supply or an appropriate battery pack?

I just opened a new HL tank yesterday. The tx wouldn't turn on when I installed the new AA batteries. All I did was push the cells side to side and the tx started to work. The battery compartment is not that great.
Hope this helps.

You have done the trouble shooting, now you just need to repair it. Try stretching the compression springs that are on each end of the negative, and replace the batteries. Then turn the transmitter on to check to see if the light is on. IF it isn't, roll the batteries with the palm of you hand with the switch on and see if you get any response on the transmitter light. I have experienced similar things with the older HL radios. On those they used to have plastic inserts between the batteries, that need to be removed. I don't see those on this new radio though
I am guessing you can fix this yourself. Use you multi meter to probe along each individual battery to find out where the connection is lost. Perhaps you need to clean the ends of all the batteries
