Adding items to tank exterior
I know a lot of you guys add stowage. I was reading a post here about 1/16 stowage that brought me to this question. Does anybody make a wide selection of 1/16 items for this? I know some can be scratch built. What about a 1/16 scale flag? I know some tanks in WWII would drape a flag on the back of the tank to avoid friendly air attacks. Also, anybody ever attack foliage like they used for camo? I debated trying this, but don't want it to be permanent....so glue would be out of the question.
EDIT- Found a site called Tankzone. Tons of this stuff including flags. UK based, anybody ever done business with them? Decent to deal with?

Tankzone have a well deserved reputation for advertising items they don't have in stock. Best to contact them first to make sure they have what you want, before ordering...

ETO Armor has some stuff. There was another one out thee but I can't seem to find the website now. You can find the stuff but chances are your going to have to go through a couple of sites to get everything you want.

The 1/18 stuff is offered at a MUCH better price. At least you get a whole set instead of just one item for pretty close to the same amount of money. I think for savings like that I can deal with the slightly out of scale part. With something like a bedroll it's never gonna be noticeable anyway, and for ammo boxes you'd only notice if you have both scales side by side.

I have ordered the stowage that comes with the HL Pershing and M4A3 from Matomart. These items are available separate from the tank, and at a decent price. These items include wooden crates, ammo boxes, jerry cans, etc. Go to their site and check it out. I find 1/16 scale stowage and accessories extremely hard to find.

Yea, the stowage stuff is not really up my alley. It's out there but mostly resin so no matter how good the paint job especially with packs, bed rolls and other "soft" materials they
still look like hard resin.

I'm the same way for the most part. Don't wanna add so much stuff it looks like the Sanford & Son truck, lol. Thinking a couple Jerry cans, maybe a flag. I'm really interested in the limbs and foliage idea too. I have 2 tanks now with a 3rd ordered. Probably get a few more in the coming months. Would like to have something like a Stug III with foliage though. Just have a little variety among the various tanks.

Watch the foliage application, don't want to be drivng around a "chia tank!" The camo netting from build-a-rama is pretty nice. If your interested, buy the biggest sheet then cut it
down to what you want. You can then add pigments or dry brush some seasonal color and black shadowing on it to mimic foliage. Also, check out Jeff's(Ausf on this forum) site http://www.ausfwerks.com/ to see his amazing foliage.

My Feedback: (1)
Value Gear Just released their first sets of 1/16 stuff (locally inspired). More pics to follow but some of his crates are amazing! He used fabric to make the masters so the texture is incredible. More shots to follow. I had to host my 3 year old's birthday party and time was not on my side!

I use rubber cement to attach items I want to change later. It sticks well and comes off with no residue.
