Default Tank Battery Question

The tank I will be buying comes with a NiMH 2,000 mah battery. What voltage is this usually in? If I want to buy another battery to use (also NiMH) with a higher mah--must it also be the same voltage as the one that comes with it? thanks

7.2 Volts. It's a good idea to stick with that voltage to not fry your electronics though some aftermarket systems can handle higher voltages. You can also get away with 2S liPo batteries (7.4V) but that's a whole nother animal unless you already know how to handle those. Can't really go wrong with a 5000mah NiMH battery.

I use Onyx / Duratrax NiMH 7.2V, 5000 mAh.
