To add another datapoint - I had bought two tank part sprues from him a couple of days before this thread began, and received it with no problems. He continues to list parts on eBay:

I'm sure that was of his own doing.

When he WAS communicating with me he was wanting to change everything over to his website as the eBay fees and policies were too much for him.

Yes he is using this link to sell his parts. I have used it and it works. So not really a buyer beware situation as a seller on Ebay has chosen to use his own site to sell. Can use PayPal to protect your self to be sure.

While I had positive experiences with Jason, I do feel that eBay (and its feedback system) does encourage sellers to toe the line. Buying from his store, the only recourse is to raise a PayPal dispute to get your money back. Aside from word of mouth like on these forums, you don't know when the seller might be going bad.
